August was a great month for Leeds United, we played some great football and scored some great goals. Some outstanding individual efforts and some sensational team goals. We can now announce the Marching on Together Goal of the Month for August 2018. After each game the best goal was voted for, then at the end of the month the best goals from each game went head to head to be voted goal of the month. Thanks to Cjay for running the vote on our forums. Here are out top three goals;

3) Mateusz Klich
Leeds United 3, Stoke City 1 - 5th August 2018

There was a lot of expectation in the summer about what Marcelo Bielsa would bring to Leeds United and how is style of football would suit the Championship. Stoke was out first opportunity to see the new Leeds United in action and Mateusz Klich’s first goal fifteen minutes into the new season gave us a taste of what was to come. After a lovely defence-splitting pass from Samuel Saiz Klich stroked the ball past Jack Butland to set Leeds off to a great start.

2) Pablo Hernandez vs Norwich
Norwich City 0, Leeds United 3 - 25th August 2018

They say form is temporary, class is permanent and Pablo Pablo Hernandez is yet again proving he is one of the best players in the Championship. After a truly sublime pass to setup Mateusz Klich’s first goal against Norwich, Pablo Hernandez put the gloss on the win as he beautifully curled a 20-yard effort into the bottom corner after cutting in from the left.

1) Kemar Roofe vs Derby
Derby County 1, Leeds United 4 - 11th August 2018

Most of the hype before the Derby match was about the managers; Bielsa against Lampard but in the end it was Kemar Roofe who took the plaudits. Roofe struck with a header on twenty one minutes to restore Leeds United’s lead before his goal of the month winning effort on the hour mark. His lovely turn and finish to give Leeds a three one lead a worthy winner.
