Celebrate Chris Woods EFL player of the season nomination

There is something about strikers polarising the opinions of Leeds United fans, if you’d asked fans what they thought of Chris Wood last season you would have received differing opinions, many of them not so flattering. But this season has been a different story. With 24 goals in 36 league matches he is the Championships top scorer and the driving force between Leeds United’s promotion push.

He has now been rewarded for his efforts being shortlisted for the Championship player for the season. He faces tough competition from Newcastle’s 21 goal Dwight Gayle and Brighton winger Anthony Knockaert. Chris Wood however must fancy his chances of picking up the award in London on 10th April given the remarkable season he has had. And that remarkable season started with this injury time bicycle kick against Fulham...

Chris Woods scoring record for Leeds was nothing to write home about until this beauty against Fulham - an injury time equaliser. He has been transformed into a prolific goal machine under Gary Monk's guidance and now can't stopped knocking them in. With 24 goals out of the team total of 52 season to date, he's in a class of his own. And you can celebrate that beautiful moment with one of these fabulous prints or t-shirts from Art of Football.
