Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 27th February) Klich sinks Boro as Leeds win three in a row

I am not saying Bamford's goal scoring record is good, we all know it should be better just saying that the negative reaction was over the top, a bit like one of PB's shots before someone else says it. It wasn't like he missed a load of chances, a tricky header, a ball that was kicked onto his leg a...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin- Injured

Meaning they weren't brought in to make any impact this season. They are for next season. Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk Or they were brought in to a team sitting in the automatic places so as to give us strength in depth if we get injuries. Bielsa rightly knew the team didn't need to have 2 ne...

Re: Defence

Defence to be fair has been consistent all season. Apart from the Birmingham and Cardiff matches we have only conceded 2 on 4 occasions - Millwall twice both times with the help of a dubious penalty, Fulham with the help of a dubious penalty and Forest who scored in injury time with us caught out wi...

Re: Today's Games

In short it seems that teams right at the bottom fought harder in the second half of the season, teams that didn't seem in imminent danger of relegation or without much hope of promotion plodded along at around the same mark and teams challenging often slumped apart from the eventual winner.

Re: Today's Games

Statistically teams that find themselves in the bottom half of the table at the halfway point of the season do 23% better in the second half of the season pointswise. Teams that find themselves in the bottom 3 - or relegation places - do 34% better points wise in the second half of the season on ave...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 27th February) Klich sinks Boro

Ridiculous the amount of stick PB is getting yet again. Some people really have no grasp of football. His header in the first half was from a curled cross that had little pace on it. As such PB had to generate the power as well as place it. Certainly not as easy a chance as some would suggest. The c...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin

I think we over train and push players far to much. Said the same last season. And we dont let them get 100% fit before rushing them back hence the ludicrous amount of reinjuries we get. Tiny squad of 15 players the majority play almost every minute and get flogged in training for 9months. Klich is...

We shouldn't have signed Eddie in the first place if he didn't fit the system
I feel we wanted a pacy alternative to come off the bench if things weren't working which role Nketiah obviously filled. There probably weren't many, if any, better alternatives available in the loan market.

Re: Eddie Nketiah

What a stunner. I watched the game on Sunday afternoon and thought wow! We never gave him a chance at Leeds did we? How quick people are to forget the WBA match where we were a transformed side in the second half when Bamford replaced Nketiah even though PB didn't score. Eddie is a goalscorer but o...

Re: Kiko Casilla

I'm very ok with Casilla starting, never thought for a minute he was affected by the probably baseless accusations. His woes were just the usual goalkeeping stuff, most keepers go through that sort of phase periodically, it's the nature of the beast Exactly. If he was a bag of nerves from start to ...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin

I get what you are saying Weasel, I just wonder at times if it is overcooked at times. I just wonder about a system that demands so much from the “strong nine” as Leeds does. It calls for a special talent. We wasted Nketiah and I worry we could waste Kev and fall short again. The trouble we had wit...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin

You would think by some of the comments about Bielsa and his system that he is the only manager who uses high press, attacking wingbacks and a lone striker up front. The only manager who likes high possession attacking football. , Unlike most of us who are from an older generation these players hav...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin

Klich was left out by TC for a slip he made that led to goal, after that he was shipped out to Holland... in the light of how he has performed under Bielsa we could surmise TC made a mistake. Managers get it wrong sometimes. Sent from my SM-T515 using Tapatalk Hard to judge from the outside but tha...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin

Also completely different regarding Rooney as he was actually training with Derby for a long time before he could play due to his contractual situation. As such he would have been fit, he was also playing regularly before going to Derby, and would have been up to speed with any tactical formation et...

I’m starting to get concerned about Kev’s game time, Marcelo has a bad record with on loan players. 😟
Yes a shocking record, Ben White and Harrison must be wondering when they will finally get an opportunity.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 24th February) Leeds stretch lead to five points over play off rivals

It is bad enough with the media and self appointed pundits trying to disrail Leeds we don't need fans doing it to. Bielsa stated from day 1 that he expected it take a month for JKA to be fully ready. Also we have seen with Nketiah several times that bringing him on when in front has rarely benefitte...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin

And an answer to that would be Bamford knows the system. Roberts is another who got game time despite being less fit than Augustin. Derby beginning to reap the rewards of Rooney getting fit by playing games which is the only way to do it..You can run all day and never be match sharp. IF/WHEN JK sta...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin

Don't forget that Bielsa stated from day 1 that it would be at least a month for JKA to get up to speed and one thing we know about Bielsa is that he doesn't do bullsh*t. As such now would be around the time that JKA should be pushing for a place.

Re: Leeds Utd v Reading Match Thread - Bielsa names unchanged line-up

I don't know why you are not contributing Faaip as generally the agreement is there. Mo one, myself included, is at present praising Bamford's goal return. I think he is a better finisher than he has looked this season but that is an irrelevance to the point about keeping the shape, keeping the mach...
