Re: U23's 2019-20

I thought for such a strong lineup Leeds should have romped that match. Last season the U23s seemed to play better when 'first teamers' weren't in the team. Hugely different approach during the games for youngsters trying to prove they are good enough compared to 'first teamers' using it as a fitne...

Re: Kiko Casilla

Bielsa knew Kiko was no mug, signing Casilla was a coup for Leeds Remember how De Gea started his Man Ure career, now one of the best keepers to grace the premiership Indeed. Far harder for keepers to adapt to a new team and way of playing than outfield players. A keeper might go through games with...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 19th Aug) - Post match reaction, Whites linked to Serb and Eddie's cost revealed

I feel the Wigan performance was a more disciplined and cautious one given how we self imploded against them last season. It shows that the team is evolving and hopefully means we will be much calmer in big pressure games later in the season. We seem to be a bit stronger defensively as a team not al...

Another player proving the doubters wrong. When will fans stop judging players on a handful of matches and writing them off as being no good just because it takes them a bit of time to adapt to a new style of football, new tactics, a new country etc

Even better save than first thought as Kiko is clearly expecting the shot to go towards the other corner and actually is pushing off to go that way then has to readjust and get to the top corner. No doubt some will moan he didn't catch it.

Re: Wigan Athletic v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Team unchanged from Forest

You often hear commentators saying stuff along the lines of, 'It was a brilliant cross but there was nobody there.' Well for me it is a sh*t cross then because anyone can play a ball into the box without looking. Yes it is good to put the ball into a dangerous area but you need to have a look up fir...

Re: Are we learning from last season?

Does Forshaw reduce the change of us getting caught on the break? Hard to say but certainly Forest offered nothing from open play and one of our biggest weaknesses last season seemed to be getting caught on the break. Forshaw possibly helps this as he has stronger defensive attributes and maybe it m...

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd - Match Thread - Costa and Nketiah both start

You just have to look at the abuse Rob Green took at the start of his season with us yet by the end of it I am sure 99% of fans wanted him to stay and probably had him as a contender for player of the year. No keeper is going to save every shot or make every catch/punch just the same as every strike...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 16th August)Nketiah's penalty clause, Rads fury with Bielsa and yesterdays presser

Plus the fact that no matter what people may say on here I wonder how many of the Leeds team actually rate Kikos contribution on the pitch as being worth it. As I say fans with an agenda against Kiko. Those that ignore the 5 or 6 good/great saves he made on Tuesday but only chirp up when he didn't ...

Morning Weasel, the source was Phil Hay, so have to say its pretty reliable!!!
Like I say though unless there are any actual facts to what the clauses/penalties/fees actually are it is meaningless to say it.

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd - Match Thread - Costa and Nketiah both start

Just seen more extensive highlights of the game Fans saying Kiko should have punched the ball further, the one that landed on their strikers head.....it was a fantastic one-handed save from a shot hit with venom & swerve. Really don't think Casilla could do much more there! Some fans are just compl...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 16th August)Nketiah's penalty clause, Rads fury with Bielsa and yesterdays presser

Are there any actual facts surrounding the supposed Eddie clause? Or is it just another rumour like the fee we are meant to be paying and the wages we are meant to be paying? People just seem to invent stories and then they are accepted as truth without any verification of facts. If there is a claus...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 14th Aug) Leeds cruise to victory, end of a dynasty for Dallas?

Yes a lot of artistic licence to account for...not sure Beradi breaking free and delivering a through ball is accurate either It shows the absurdity of stats as the BBC put it down as an assist for Berardi. End of the day the goal was all about Klich, great determination to win the ball when the Sa...

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Cup games eh! I was at Histon, Rochdale & Sutton, thankfully I gave Newport a miss I'm at Salford tomorrow night, new ground for all the travelling fans, should be a good atmosphere for obvious reasons & I'm expecting us to win even with a weakened team. Looking forward to seeing our new signings p...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 12th Aug) All the up to date news from Elland Road - with opinions from you, the fan

What do you read into the stats? Fairly little. There will probably be more relevant stats that Bielsa and his staff work with. Is Nketiah the answer? Hard to know till we see him play but if him and Bamford could combine to get us 40+ goals (even if it is one starter and one sub) then we should do...

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Surely we should select our bench players & a mix of U23's plus last weeks two new signings. I personally wouldn't risk any of those who started v Bristol C/Forest. Yet you have continually criticised managers previously for fielding weakened teams in the cup???? I wouldn't risk any of them either ...

Re: KP, AF and MK.

Regarding pace through the middle i think Ryan Kent would have been the number 10. When Saiz left MB said he had skills no one else had, imo that was the ability to carry the ball through the middle. I actually think that would have been where Dan James would have played to. His Bilbao side he play...

Re: KP, AF and MK.

Our best performance last year was v WBA and a main part of that was Roberts' pace, which they couldn't handle. Same with the first half of the season when we had Saiz running through the middle. This Leeds team is a completely different beast with pace in it, but it seems everyone except Bielsa ca...

Re: Eddie Nketiah

He obviously knows a lot more then all of us put together but he still makes errors and fans will talk about them same as when players make errors. His subs today for example, not rotating enough last season (admitted that himself), i dont think MB would mind us discussing him and saying "i think h...

Re: Loan Rules

Because imo when you make signings you make them because they should improve the match day 18. If one has to miss out every game then thats not the case. Signings should make your match day squad better otherwise why bother? For me i dont get the loan of the young goalie, loaning a backup is daft u...
