Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 26th June)

In January who was the better player Jack Clarke or Dan James? Since that point their performances went in completely the opposite directions. In regards to the possible signing of Ben White well we were all scratching our heads when it looked like we were going to sign Dan James, 'not even good eno...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

We have fans complaining we haven't signed anyone but we won't sign anyone until we raise funds. As such unfortunately the sooner Clarke/PJ/KP or maybe even just Forshaw goes then the sooner we can get players in. Sadly not much movement apart from Ekuban in terms of our surplus players and don't ev...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

Cant remember the guys name but he is apparently like the Spurs Phil Hay. Clarke will be in the Tottenham first team. You dont spend nothing for 18months then spend on a kid to loan out for years down the line, makes no sense. Poch wants to improve his team now not in 3 or 4 years. So it was a guy ...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

I wish we could sell just one Orta/ Radz signing for a decent profit. Thats the bit AR isnt so keen to talk about. This is his 4th window and not one player signed under his ownership has been sold for any decent profit. Excellent at telling us we are skint, not so good at explaining why. Shall sta...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

Not a case of being happy to sell him or wanting to sell him on the cheap. The trouble is that we are a championship side and until we get into the premiership the vultures will always be able to pick off the best players we produce as we have to balance the books. Now if selling Clarke enables us t...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

End of the day if there aren't any other clubs bidding then it is hard to push the price up, if he was as great as some make out then every club would be wanting him and we could set the price. A lot of clubs would be wary of buying him due to the limited impact he had after his first couple of sub ...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

I wonder if we are just too burdened down with surplus players and need to shift a dozen so or them before we sign anyone? I think there is a bit of that - as yet we have had no money in (unless the Ekuban money has cleared). You also have to consider the transfer rumours are just those and as we h...

Re: FFP SItuation

I still don't understand how we could've lost £15m, it makes no sense. Bamford was paid for by Vieira and Douglas by the extra £3m we got from the Chris Wood deal. Only Kiko came in in January, on a free, and we got a £500k loan fee for Saiz which equalled out the wages. £5m loans but we loaned out...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 21st June)

Salford City being drawn at home against Leeds in the first round of the Carabao Cup. Televised game anyone? The sponsors of this mickey mouse cup must be delighted as it gives them huge publicity. The supermarket cup has got a top shelf match. Deffo think it will be televised, maybe a 4am kick off...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

Kinnear talking tosh through his rose-tinted spectacles. Was he watching us v the likes of Birmingham, QPR, Brentford, Ipswich, Hull, Wigan, etc? Did he see us cave in when we were 2-0 up on aggregate v Derby? Does he realise we failed to beat three of the top six clubs at ER ? Our management need ...

Re: FFP SItuation

Forget about FFP - all that FFP does is allow us to go £39m into debt over 3 years. What business being run well would want to lose £39m in 3 years - I am sure AR wants us to be self sufficient and breaking even financially every year, if I was running the club that is what I would be aiming to do a...

Re: 2019-20 LUFC Squad

Does seem surprising although I am guessing a combination of Bielsa and Orta must have decided he wasn't anywhere near first team standard/ready. So hard to judge players in the U23 matches as the opposition is usually quite poor and the matches seem little more than training matches at times and la...

Re: Player Profile : Kemar Roofe

A tricky one this as it is hard to know exactly what we can get from Kemar Roofe next season. Last season was a breakout season for him in terms of scoring at this level but equally we were a team that created the most chances in the league so should our striker (be it Roofe or Bamford) have been sc...

Re: Player Profile : Jack Clarke

The trouble with Clarke is that we don't really know how good he will be. Has he been found out and blunted by championship defenders or was that just a blip in his development. His form had deteriorated well before the fainting/collapsing incident at Boro and I think it was against Brentford later ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 19th June)

Bradford say they struck a deal for O'Connor as part of a "long-term agreement" with Leeds. Thoughts? Possibly we have first option to buy him back in the future and possibly we will also send other players there on loan as unlike at other clubs our player actually played matches. Jack Clarke North ...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

Forshaw had a good game v Villa & his standout performance was in our league match v Derby at ER (my MOTM), those performances were few & far between though, he was poor & at times a liability giving away goals as he dawdled on the ball. Forshaw offers very little in a attacking sense, rarely score...

Re: Concerning Transfer Policy

Tricky is putting it mildly in terms of how to come up with a transfer strategy in the position we are in. To improve any position in the team means either 1) buying a proven (expensive) player that is better than what we have, 2) buying a player with potential (cheap) and hoping they turn into the ...

Re: Player Profile : Tyler Roberts

I would retain him, deffo has potential but at present would be a squad player rather than a starter as in the role he was in, the no.10 he didn't produce enough goals or assists. At present he still has to fulfill his potential so probably wouldn't be worth much more than we paid for him.

Re: Player Profile : Mateusz Klich

Deffo keep him. For me he is more important than the 3 players that we could sell for big money (KP, JC, and PJ) but we would likely only get a fraction of the type of money they would bring in if we were to sell Klich. As such doesn't make any point selling him. I would like to see him get more goa...

And still our fans want to knock young Bailey.....why? Because a comical post was posted about Kiko? Tit for tat maybe? Who can find the best videos of our (OUR's remember) keepers mess ups? I make no wonder the kid wants to move away from Elland Road.......However, I do agree with some of the comm...
