Re: Kemar Roofe

Always tricky to evaluate strikers based on chances alone. The nearest thing to being able to do it fairly is the thing the BBC use to determine the probability that the chance should be scored but equally a striker can mishit the shot and score or catch it cleanly and the keeper makes a wonder save...

Re: Quest hate Leeds

Holloway loves Bielsa, Warnock is still bitter that we replaced him with Charlie Taylor and Dean Ashton sometimes praises us, particularly about our youth development, and other times gives us no credit. Always liked Holloway, always seems honest. Won't hear a bad word said against Dean Ashton. He ...

Re: Leeds Utd v QPR Match Thread

The first goal is the sort of goal that would have likely been avoided if 2 'proper' centrebacks were playing as they know not to let the ball bounce. That said definitely some sympathy for Phillips as it wasn't like the ball was coming directly down the middle of the pitch so he probably didn't rea...

Re: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

I know BPF has received criticism over the course of the season for the odd mistake or two but crikey the Fulham keeper yesterday was abysmal. Should have saved 3 of the 4 goals conceded and should have also made some sort of effort to save the other one (Lukaku's) were he made no attempt to make hi...

Got a link for full match video if anyone wants it to watch the whole match again as sounds like streams were a bit problematic today.

At least it won't be moved for tv, but yet another away tie.
LEEDS UNITED'S third round FA Cup clash at Queens Park Rangers has been moved to a 2pm kick-off on Sunday, January 6 for "overseas broadcast."

Re: Stumped For A Title

To a large degree we have done similar with the amount of young players we snapped up last season and then going around paying small fees to get bright prospects from lower clubs. Obviously not on the scale of Chelsea but doing very similar given our smaller budget.

Bridget Bardot and Ursula Andress in their prime.
Not seen them in the flesh but believe they could be a real handful up front.

Re: So Long Samu?

Similar to Clarke it may be that Bielsa sees Saiz as being able to have a more positive coming on as a sub. I am sure the last thing a tiring opposition wants to see is Saiz and Clarke coming on.

Re: Jack Clarke

Hopefully the young players will have seen the likes of Byram and Cook leaving and not playing games and will decide they would rather stay at Leeds and play. Cook is getting a few more games this season but has largely been a sub (often not coming on or not even getting on the bench) - not sure tha...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 4th Dec)

Be good to get Ayling and the others back asap, games coming thick and fast now. Cibicki would be as effective as Harrison but would rather Clarke over both of them. If we can get money for Cibicki, i think they will and should take it. Silly season coming up, we'll be linked with no end of players...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 4th Dec)

I just can't see Cibicki fitting Bielsa's way of playing at all. Yes he can put a good cross in but is he gonna chase players down or work back when the fullback overlaps. Players like Alioski and Dallas may not be everyone's cup of tea but you know they will give 100% every match and do the chasing...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 4th Dec)

Should Bielsa let Pawel Cibicki go or see if he can work his magic on the former Swedish International? Given that Bielsa was happy to send him out on loan it is doubtful he really figured in any future plans barring him (Cibicki) doing brilliantly. Seems he has done okay but nothing spectacular. G...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 3rd Dec)

He’s dropping the ball, is poor at crosses, but to say he’s not being put under pressure? I’d rewatch it mate, it’s a reason so many decent keepers fail at this level, they get minimal protection from refs and get swamped by attackers, Wiewald was a decent keeper, his weakness was crosses, he crumb...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 3rd Dec)

Did Leeds deserve the win? Seemed a fairly even game - but would it have been an even game but for the poor refereeing? Wilder suggesting the ref was equally poor to both sides was laughable and seemed to me him trying to deflect any blame away from himself and his team given their attempts to kick...

He always defends defends the referee even though they may have had a nightmare
game making many bad decisions. [/b]
Being in charge of Leeds his resolve will be seriously tested as we get cr*p ref after crap ref - at some point he just might crack.

Re: Sheffield Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Interestingly we have gained more points in our second set of 10 fixtures than we did in the opening 10. We gained 19 points from our first 10 matches and have gained 20 from the last 10 (total of 39pts from the 20 played). Despite the injuries we have statistically outperformed the free scoring ear...

If Villa can stay in front it won't be a bad day
Even a draw wouldn't be too bad as would mean both Villa and Boro dropping points.
