Re: Your Predicted Scores - Reading v Huddersfield

1-0 to Reading Not really fussed who goes up, either will get spanked in the prem ! 0-0 HT 0-0 FT 0-0 AET 3-0 To Huddersfield on penalties as Reading players simply pass back to their defenders or goalkeeper with every penalty so as to not lose possession. Agree with 64 - 2 teams that are not good ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2017

Was a strange one that Monk kept bringing him on as a sub towards the end of the season, as we went on our awful run, despite him constantly doing nothing when he came on. I would have had Roofe, Dallas, Pederazz or Doukara all on before him.

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned

The main point now is that we are in a much better position than at this stage last year. We have the nucleus of a team with the only players of first team standard to not be with us next season are Charlie Taylor and Bartley. Taylor we will likely get a fee for and that should enable us to either b...

Re: New MD confirmed....

Definitely think the main reason AR chose us rather than any other championship team is our worldwide fanbase and the fact our name is known the world over. For all we are a sleeping giant internationally due to lack of success all it needs is for the club to get back into the premiership and the gi...

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned

So the jury has decided that Monk is the villain here, even on the back of his statement that contradicts the official club statement? I'm not saying he isn't, but has anyone considered that maybe Radz is the 'bad guy' here and wouldn't back Monk with what he thought he needed to move us on? Always...

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned

Likely he would use his contacts at Swansea to try to get Bartley but don't see why we would sell to GM even if he were at a prem club. Also don't forget the fall-out between GM and Pontus which may not have fully healed as we will never know whether PJ would have been brought back into the team if ...

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned

Let's not get too hysterical, it was only a few weeks back that a few were stating how the jury is still out on Monk, not panicking until I know who the new one is. I would have kept GM because of the continuity and the fact that he seemed to over-achieve for much of the season and would be hoping ...

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned

I'm not saying I was 100% convinced by Monk after the end to the season but what we would have had is a period of stability, time to plan recruitment / pre season properly and a group of players who seem to have bought in to his ideas whatever we as fans thought. Now we are looking for a replacemen...

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned

Horses for courses Weasel Players feel comfortable & react to certain coaching methods ! Look at how often Fergie changed his no.2 and coaches at MU to keep things fresh and to stop players getting too comfortable. For all I hope Beattie stays, if he doesn't I don't see why Wood would suddenly ...

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned

I think AR was unconvinced with GM, especially after reading yesterday's comments about our poor finish and finishing 7th. GM's reputation was at an all time high prior to the complete collapse and any chairman would have to be concerned that GM seemed incapable of getting us out of that terrible ru...

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned

Kiss goodbye to Pep. Beattie & Flahaven....Wood & Green will go all crap again & I doubt we'll see Bartley again :( I don't see why Wood and Green would suddenly become crap. Yes it definitely looks like Beattie had a big impact on Wood but why would Wood suddenly forget all that he was...

Re: Talking points from yesterday.....

What a disappointing Europa Cup final last night. Anyone watch the game ? Didn't watch it but shows how far MU have slipped when they have to qualify for the (mainly non)champions league this way. The first time the commentator mentioned about the psychological impact Monday's tragedy had had on th...

Re: New Season Preparation

I don't see any deal with Monk being announced until after Rad takes over completely as until then it would have to have Rad and MC in full agreement over the length of the deal, salary etc. Also Rad wouldn't be able to make guarantees to Monk about investment in players until he was solely in charg...

Re: Monday Breakfast Debate - Monk/Taylor/Pontus

I can't believe that Giggs would be next in line after Monk. What experience does have being the manager/coach. With his Man Utd connection, the fans will go bananas unless there is instant success. There is a lot of pressure being the Leeds' manager/coach, experience is required. I think the Giggs...

Re: Monday Breakfast Debate - Monk/Taylor/Pontus

Garry Monk is 11/8 favourite to take the vacant Managers job at Boro!!!. Sheridan was 1/6 with the bookies last year to become our manager. I think with the manager betting markets there is little money actually staked so the odds can change very quickly. Charlie Taylor is wanted by Galatasaray!!!!...

We have produced a steady stream such as Byram, Mowatt, Cook, Taylor, Phillips, Vieira and before that the likes of Howson and Delph. However we have also had various players poached from us before they got anywhere near the first team, the likes of Garbutt at Everton, a couple of lads to Chelsea an...

We seem to be linked with Kinnear from West Ham who has worked with Rad in the past. Interestingly has been at both Arsenal and West Ham during the times they moved to new stadiums.
