Re: Stoke City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Jones has now only won something like 3 in the last 25 games, and none of the last 10. I've been reading their forum, and most seem to think they're free falling to relegation. An overlarge, unbalanced squad full of journeymen, ex premier league egos, and an inexperienced manager wedded to an unsuc...

Good on him for agreeing to speak

Doubt that went down well with the Manure hierarchy, ultimate respect from him just by doing it.
Doubt ManUre care, he left them in the close season and plays for PSG now.

Re: Today's Games

I am beginning to really dislike VAR too. Maybe its because its still in its infancy and still needs tweaking but just doesnt seem to suit football like it does other sports such as Rugby League/Cricket etc etc. Hate the fact that fans cant celebrate a goal for the fear the ball has crazily hit somo...

Just watching episode 1 and will watch the lot on my free trial :) :)

Is that Ander Herrera in Episode 1? Fair play to him if it is.
Yes it is mate and he speaks so glowingly about Bielsa re: the time when Marcelo was boss of At.Bilbao. Proper admiration and respect.

Re: Documentary "Take us home"

I watched this all over the weekend and concur with most of the views on here......thought it was excellent and was very moved at times especially seeing how emotional/passionate Victor Orta in particular was during the documentary. The management, staff do car passionately for this club, it comes a...

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Agreed, of all the first team players, Phillips is last one I would risk. I can see one of Cooper or White playing which isnt ideal either.

Looking forward to seeing Bogusz playing.....and of course our first glimpse of Eddie in a leeds shirt.

Re: Leeds Utd v Nottingham Forest - Match Thread

Cant wait, first game as a LUFC Season Ticket Holder :-) Would expect an unchanged team with probably Berardi on the bench for one of the youngsters and the new keeper along with Nketiah of course. Forest are a team in transition under a new coach and there for the taking but with the likes of Grabb...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 2nd August) - Kinnear hints at transfer activity, Roofe in talks with Anderlecht

Morning EB et all Good news as long as it’s in coming transfer don’t think our squad could take any out going With regards Roooofe saw this online I can see the attraction of playing in Europe but is Kompany a bigger attraction than Bielsa? And if McBurnie is worth £20m Roooofe is definitely worth ...

Very sad to have passed on this tragic news.
Jo fought very long and bravely against this horrible illness that is causing such pain in so many families nowadays.

RIP Jo

Re: Match Thread - Manchester United vs Leeds United (Wed 17th July)

He took an age on the ball and then either set of dribbling before losing it and then getting caught upfield or just passed it sideways way too late to set up a quick break..Attacks died with Pontus probably more than anyone else. Cooper 10 times better on the bal l Are you serious ?! And even if h...

Re: Helder Costa

Great signing. But I presume the permanent transfer would only be on a promotion basis, otherwise how would we afford him? We have committed to a definite signing next season so this tells me that there is an influx of cash coming into the club, whether thats QSI takeover or a them taking a small s...

Re: Jack clarke medical

Looks like 10M up front and maybe up to 20 in add ons and sell on to come later. If we end up getting £20m I dont think any of us could argue that it was a deal that made sense all round, as the player will have obviously gone on to bigger and better things and leeds will have made good money on su...

Re: Jack clarke medical

Ryan Kent? Really? He was crap at Barnsley and Bristol City. We need an experienced winger, not one "with potential". Costa, Harrison (sadly) and an experienced winger from Europe will do for me. He wasnt crap at Barnsley at all and he has done very well at Rangers which I would say is probably com...

Is he a diamond though yet? ...
Maybe I should have rephrased that then - potential to be a diamond.

I guess we have to look at this deal in terms of, if he lives up to he's potential, Spurs have got a snip, if he doesnt kick on, then we have done well to get £10m

Re: Jack clarke medical

Sad but inevitable news. As stated previously, looks like while Radz is at the helm, we will lose one diamond each pre-season. I think to be fair Clarke was probably the best suited for us to sell for the reasons you stated White Rose. This deal only makes sense however if we get a real quality repl...
