Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 12th Nov)

Beradi is appropriate cover, probably better than Ayling tbf....Behind Roofe we have Bamford .....Injuries happen. What we absolutely can't do is have 3 starter quality players on squad at all times, that's Ridsdale economics. We have a saying "next man up" Agreed. No club in the Championship has t...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 12th Nov)

It may be time for Blackman to be given a chance, but Bielsa must have good reason - or logical reason - for sticking with Peacock-Farrell, and let's face it we have been solid enough defensively all season and shouldn't panic because of one game. It'd be different if we were struggling, then you co...

Re: West Brom v Leeds Utd Match Thread

My theory is both options are correct. If so many of the teams around us hadn't dropped so many points, I don't think we would be anywhere near the top. In saying that, Bielsa has been able to get the best out of a few players and play a style of football we can enjoy. However, the team has never f...

Re: West Brom v Leeds Utd Match Thread

It seems that either this league is crap or our coach is great, because we have been challenging for the top spot all season despite all those allegedly decidedly average players that we have.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 9th Nov)

Again, agree with above. Most of those stats are very open to interpretation, like stats are generally. I would imagine Reading topped the passing stat under Stam but 80% of those would have been across the back line. Only numbers that really count are points I meant to give a similar example. A nu...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 9th Nov)

Hi EB

Stats pfffft :P

I don't know if Bamford and Roofe can work together, but I don't think that Bielsa will play the two of them together anyway. Maybe if we need goals late in a game, but I think Bielsa will continue to play with one man up front.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 8th Nov)

Like Leon I like as much white as possible. No particular favourite. I don't mind yellow as away or blue, any other colour is not acceptable.

As for this third kit, not bad apart from the silly bands at the end of the sleeves.

One of my regular resources tipped it up and another suggested it could be in the frame so went for it! First winner in a long time, I needed it!

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 7th Nov)

I don't think that we have a particular weakness. Yes most of our goals conceded have been from set pieces, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we are weak at defending set pieces, it could simply mean that we are very good at controlling open play. Our defensive record is still very good. Watchi...

Re: HORSE RACING CHALLENGE : NAP OF THE DAY

Well I had my once-a-year real bet on horse racing today with the running of the Melbourne Cup. I'm proud to say that all five of my selections (win and place) finished in the top 17 :) My one consolation is that in narrowing my choices down to five, none of the three that I rejected finished in the...
