Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 16th July)

I know he has to improve on certain aspects of his game but the potential to be a top player is there. Yes KP makes mistakes however you tell me a player who isn't error-free. Kalvin minimises his errors compared to most around him, he was easily our most consistent player last season. No prem club...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 16th July)

The other 20 clubs in the division will be thinking the same way. I'm sure there is pressure on the EFL to punish the 3 clubs. There has to be - surely! Doubt it. If Radz pulls the same stunt this year we'll be hammered no doubt. How can Hillsborough be valued at more than a football club anyway? R...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 16th July)

It is understood that Connor Hourihane, Henri Lansbury and James Bree are all surplus to requirements at Villa Park, and Leeds can take their pick from all three! Would any other these players improve our starting XI? If Villa were to offer 20m and the pick from the three listed above, would you be...

If it hadn't gone for overthrows would it have scored 1 or 2 runs?
He was sliding in for his second and would definitely have got there before a stumping.

Delph joins Everton
Hopefully he'll get a full season for the first time since leaving Leeds. Has been excellent for City, but was never going to be a regular.

Re: What a day for sport ?

Not exactly, Rashid needed to have crossed at the time of the throw. From Cricinfo However, according to Law 19.8, pertaining to "Overthrow or wilful act of fielder", it would appear that England's second on-field run should not have counted, making it a total of five runs for the incident, not six...

Re: Championship 19/20

Bruce has cost Ashley more than Rafa would have when you take into account compensation. Ashley didn't like the pressure/ambition that Rafa showed.

My toon pals are absolutely fuming about the loss of Rafa, Perez and the fact Rondon won't be back.

Ashley is just a PL Bates.

Great result for England in the netball today, beating world no.2 Jamaica 56-48.

4 wins out of 4 going into a rest day.

Re: What a day for sport ?

The cricket was one of the most unbelievable matches I've ever seen. NZ were incredibly unfortunate, what with the 6 stepping on the rope and the 6 off the bat in the last over... Don't think I've been as nervous as Archer's super-over, especially after bowling a wide first. Glad Wimbledon was excit...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

So, with only a few weeks left, who do we think we will be in for? If we dont allow any of those who featured in the last two matches, plus Roberts to leave do you think we have enough? If not what would be on the dream shopping list? I'd like another CB and potentially maybe a striker. I think wha...

Re: What a day for sport ?

My mum used to play netball for Singapore Dynamo's in the 60's when I was young, and so I got sick of watching it then... sadly never seemed to get back to enjoying it.... :P :) I love netball - it's an underrated game (probably because it's perceived as a 'girls'' sport). Fast paced, based in pass...

Re: What a day for sport ?

I most confess to have never really followed cricket. I don't dislike it or anything, and I remember I enjoyed playing it very much earlier in my life, just never got into it as a sport. Then one of the lads at work this week announced India were getting battered by New Zealand and I became interes...

Re: Championship 19/20

Fulham sign Wolves winger Ivan Cavaleiro on loan (why were we not in for him). Fulham also contact Brighton over Anthony Knockhaert. We were looking at a deal involving both him and Costa at one point (according to Phil Hay). We're loaded up with wingers now as faaip says. Fulham have parachute mon...

Just seen on Sky Sports news that West Ham and Brighton are interested in Roofe
No reason to sell Roofe, given the outgoings already. Even if he's in the last year of his contract I'd only expect him to leave for a big offer.

Do a Beckford and say he can go next season if we're not promoted.

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

Read this tonight: Leeds United are interested in signing Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow if they can find a new club for Kiko Casilla this summer, according to Football Insider. I would say that is the final nail in the coffin for BPF if it is true, what with him conceding last night. and ...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

Fair enough. Hopefully though the lessons have been learnt and this season the communication will be spot on and the Leeds players will know to get out of the way when he comes. Am sure there will be a couple of times when he comes and make a mess of it but overall will save us a lot of times. I'm ...
