Re: Gianni Alioski

I like Alioski. Looked really bright in the early part of the season (when we were playing well) but seriously dropped off (when we were awful. Can't fault his effort though. Hopefully the new coach will get the best out of him. A front 4 of Roofe, Saiz, Alioski and Hernandez would be my preference ...

Re: Marcelo Bielsa

Interesting write up here: http://outsideoftheboot.com/2016/11/17/marcelo-bielsa-exploring-el-loco/ Was written before his last two jobs (which went pretty badly by all accounts), but has some good insights into his philosophy. Bielsa sought to apply his intellect to seek alternative solutions to fo...

Re: Heckingbottom has gone

Best of luck to the guy in the future, came into Leeds when we were in a bad way, but enough points to be comfortable to any real threat of relegation, even with how poorly we played. He took on a tough job, he’d be a grand fit for a mid table championship side, a side we currently are, but not for...

Re: England World Cup Squad 2018

Can't believe Jones is going ahead of Lascelles.

Livermore over Shelvey is questionable as well considering how much he's played.

Re: Summer Transfers and Squad Discussion

Radz also saying that all profits from the Myanmar trip will go into the transfer kitty (though no indication of how much that will be).

Lots of promising links on here, though most will be punts who will potentially take a season to bed in.

Re: What is required?

Six of that team are not good enough Genghers, Roofe has been far from consistent this season, that's the reason for him being in & out of the team, still the best striker we've got which doesn't say a lot ! We can do much better & will need to if we are looking at the play-offs next season I did s...

Re: What is required?

Here's the more pertinent question. How much will it take to get a guaranteed 20 goal plus a season striker and is 20 goals enough. Roofe would have scored 20 at current pace had he played 46 games as striker They don't come cheap. We got a bargain with Wood, as proven by the fact he went for so mu...

Re: What is required?

New manager New mentality Go back to playing football the TC way but with some balls and a plan B New big dominant Captain CB New dominant Defensive Midfielder - Captain CF that can win a header, hold up the ball, first touch that doesn’t fly 20 yards away and can score over 20 goals in a season in...

Re: Norwich vs Leeds (team selection and rating)

Suggesting that Pearce is a problem really boiled my piss. We've been shocking for a long time. Heck has come in and hasn't improved things in any way. Excuses: Unavailable players - only really Ayling unavailable from the established group. Players weren't playing for TC - clearly not playing for P...

Re: Keep, release or send out on loan

De Bock - sell Antonsson - Sell The only two of yours I'd question really. Think Antonsson deserves a chance after impressing at Blackburn. I reckon we'll be able to move him if he doesn't show much. De Bock hardly had a chance before getting injured - another one for the pending pre-season pile.

Re: What happens next?

Klich is the quintessential example of a player getting better when they're not playing.

I agree he needs to have another shot, but nobody on here could say with any kind of confidence that he would be part of our strongest midfield next season.

Re: Keep, release or send out on loan

Thing is, I don't think we need wholesale changes. This squad were playing good football and getting results at the start of the season that's not fluke. We have depth, but it just isn't high enough quality.

Only keeping 13 of that squad would be madness and we'd be back to square one.

Radz is supposed to have sold his share in the company for €1billion and now only has a minority stake in the company. Badge-> Cardiff -> TC sacking -> Hiring the Buffoon -> Top 6 rant -> Wolves Rant-> Burma So many bad calls and the fans and the media won't cut him any slack. I feel for the guy Hi...

Re: Summer Transfers and Squad Discussion

I think a lean squad is fine, but we've seen what a few injuries/suspensions have done to this squad which is relatively big. Only having 2 first team centre halves is obviously an issue (Pennington has been alright, but obviously has limited experience) and we really should have invested there in J...

Re: Orta on his way

De Bock is injured ..you're kind of making an argument for Heckingbottom with that post. Unintentionally probably, but still My summation of the players would be exactly the same if TC were still here tbf (unless some of their form had had a massive upturn). I want to see a manager stay a season (f...

Re: Orta on his way

I'd say the majority of the signings haven't had time to prove themselves good or bad. Grot and Cibicki were stated as signings for the future, and I hardly think it's Jay-Roy's fault that he's getting stuck out on the wing rather than his more natural berth as a target man (I know he's played wide ...

Will be good to see how the fullbacks do then.

Like the look of that midfield and attack.
