Re: Harry Kewell on the Brink

Are you staying Sussex Billie ? We’re moving to the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire. I think my nearest league side is probably Cheltenham Town , an upgrade ( just ! ) on Crawley Town . Haven’t moved house for 16 years ( we moved around Crawley a bit before then ) so it’s been a pretty hectic few mont...

Harry Kewell on the Brink

I’m moving house on Friday and leaving Crawley after living here 20 years but Harry Kewell may be gone before me ! Clearly hated by the fans

Re: Rest in Peace, Malcolm Young

They were great live , although would have loved to have seen Bon Scott . I was going to see them again last year but cancelled when Brian Johnson had to quit because of hearing problems . Probably now time for them to call it a day .

Re: Brentford v Leeds - Team,News,Reports & Ratings

I remember reading David Niven’s book “ Bring on the empty Horses “ . He was very good friends with Errol Flynn . He said of him “ you always knew exactly where you were with Errol because he always let you down “ . Sums up my ( and I suspect a number of others) relationship with Leeds United .

Re: Kewell vs Ronnie

Unfortunately Kewell manages my home town club Crawley so I do hear quite a bit from him in local media . Still given where Crawley are in League Two , it shouldn’t be too long before he’s binned .

Free Fire and Water Would love to have seen them live , but like Norm , I’ve seen Bad Company a few years back . I also saw Paul Rodgers with Queen and it wasn’t at all bad to be fair . Probably someone of lesser stature than Rodgers may not have been able to pull it off ( I remember how many failed...

Re: Greatest of all time

I googled this out of interest and generally the top 3 were Pele , Maradona and Messi . The majority seemingly giving Pele the nod over the other 2 . My own preference is Cruyff . If for no other reason than I was privileged to see him play once at Wembley . It was breathtaking and I've never seen a...

Re: Greatest of all time

Don't know that he was the best player of all time, but my favorite player ever (apart from Bremner, of course) was Sócrates Brasileiro Sampaio de Souza Vieira de Oliveira. A positively brilliant attacking midfielder; his passing and vision on the field were unrivaled. He could read and dominate a ...
