Re: Name the players ?

It's the above 13 plus Sprake, Cocker and then Jordan in all probability, he'd been here since 70 whereas I'm not sure Frank had even arrived yet plus he would have been 17 The only other possibility is Nigel Davey is in the somewhere. Reserve left back who'd been at Leeds a while and was cover aft...

So that rules out Terry Cooper as he broke his leg in April 1972
There’s 14 players plus Revie and Cocker . Sprake certainly travelled down as part of the squad for the cup final so I think it’s probably him bending down .

Re: Name the players ?

Great photos . I did a bit of research into the first picture and apparently it was taken in Sunny Hill Park , Hendon , on 5th May 1972 , the day before the cup final .

We’ll have to disagree on that one!
I wonder where Gerald Ratner would stand on the issue ?

Definitely not Steve McClaren according to Phil Hay so that’s one bullet dodged .

Re: New Club Badge

Phil Hay is reporting that there will be a rethink based on the feedback today . Doesn’t sound like it’s going ahead in its current guise .

Re: The things you detest about Christmas

I was in the same boat mate spending over thirty years in retail management. In the end I had to get out before I had a nervous breakdown Welcome back Billie  how did the house move go ? Retail definitely got harder post 2008 . It was all about cost cutting until there was nothing left to cut ...

Re: The things you detest about Christmas

As a retired retailer , my two pet hates were being the last person out of the shop on Xmas Eve ( anything between 8 and 9pm ) . Or being key holder over Xmas . I’ve spent many an Xmas Day in store sorting out alarm problems , freezers and fridges breaking down etc .

Grew up watching Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads . Loved it . Funny and occasionally very moving . Read on the news that James Bolam and Rodney Bewes fell out 40 years ago and haven’t spoken since . How sad .

Re: Harry Kewell on the Brink

Are you staying Sussex Billie ? We’re moving to the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire. I think my nearest league side is probably Cheltenham Town , an upgrade ( just ! ) on Crawley Town . Haven’t moved house for 16 years ( we moved around Crawley a bit before then ) so it’s been a pretty hectic few mont...

They were great live , although would have loved to have seen Bon Scott . I was going to see them again last year but cancelled when Brian Johnson had to quit because of hearing problems . Probably now time for them to call it a day .
