Re: Kalvin Phillips

For the first team CB CF AMF I'm fine with the rest of the staring squad for the time being. I'm sure most Leeds fans will be expecting new RB, LB, 2 x CB, CMF, AMF, Striker LW and RW. All of whom would cost 15-25 mil. Until we get a striker that can play striker we don't really know what we have w...

Re: Player Ratings v Blackburn

Doesn't frustrate me at all, I know he doesn't have it in him to be a good Championship striker. Today I thought his closing down was slow, his first touch was off and some of his passes around the box really poor. Got caught offside a load of times, got in the way of our mids at times and made ver...

All ifs & buts

If we had retained Nketiah we'd have probably been promoted by now
Ah they nearly had him in fairness and we swooped so that really set them back and yes we would have it wrapped up if we had Eddie

Re: Player Ratings v Blackburn

I don’t want to get at Bamford too much as he put a shift in today and managed to score, although it was laid on plate for him and I suspect that had it been on his right foot he might have missed. In my opinion he is not agile or quick enough and too one footed to ever be a really top striker, the...

Re: Player Ratings v Blackburn

So 4/10 was fair for Bamford who took his goal well & was unlucky with a shot on the turn which hit the post, plus he pressed their back four all afternoon. I'm by no means Paddy's biggest fan but I think 4/10 is ridiculous! Agree, tired in the last 20 but ran, pressed and took his goal really well...

Positive- Douglas played his best game for us

Negative- looked very exposed at the back at times

I wouldn't bother bringing Pablo on if we stay 2 up. Not worth risking it
Agree, keep the magic for when it’s needed, Shackleton and Poveda need some minutes should they be needed in the next five games

Weird game for awhile when it looked like a free for all it was so open. Two great finishes. Ben white can stop those runs up field now thanks!

9 PTS clear with 5 to play would definitely look even more rosier. [emoji45]

I’d settle for 6 point gap to third with 5 to go. We need to just focus on us winning and forget Brentford etc, let’s hope we learned from last season

I think it was frustration at certain of our players turned outward to the opposition.. Blaming Luton is not a good colour on us
Agreed, there must be frustration building towards our finishing from some in the squad

Not sure why the players would have an issue with Luton sitting back, better teams have done the same thing. Hopefully the meeting they had can reset their minds and kick on, win Saturday and things will look rosey again

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin. .Loan deal ended, permanent deal in limbo.

Did we have a case of Covid-19 in the club? If so could it of been JKA? Very little info on what was wrong, looked as fit as a fiddle at one stage durning lockdown so clearly worked his socks off to get back. I hope whatever happens doesn’t ruin his mindset for playing for us next season, very messy...

Re: Leeds Utd v Luton Town - MATCH THREAD

Yes, that would be my idea of change. Roberts for no 9, and then Poveda/Hernandez at no 10, with Pablo playing as much as his fitness allows. If Poveda is a hit then Hernandez could be used sparingly so as to regain full fitness with 2 or 3 games to go. Roberts deserves to be given a decent shot at...

Re: Leeds Utd v Luton Town - MATCH THREAD

He is able to beat a man, has a trick or two so maybe that may be an advantage he has that Paddy doesnt? Personally despite my doubts on Tyler i agree with you on Blackburn. Id like to see Ian as a 10 to for the same reason. He looks like he has a trick or two and that may unlock a packed defence. ...

Re: Leeds Utd v Luton Town - MATCH THREAD

Tbf though Hull were 2-0 down and couldn't sit back as much. Far easier to find room then. Being a striker against a packed defence is extremely hard to do, you got to be very clever to find space and need very clever players to find you. Neither Bamford or Roberts are natural goalscorers imo and d...

Has to start up top against Blackburn
