Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 19th Sept)

Roberts was great last night and the first finish particularly was very smart. Looked like a weight lifted when the first goal went in. Thought all in all it was good performance with great intensity. Slipped off a bit in the middle of the second half but Preston never really looked like scoring (ot...

Re: Latest Injury Update

If they are looking for a striker, I was top scorer 3 years in a row for Wellington Under 14's, 15's and 16's.

Lethal left foot, hard to knock off the ball and the turning circle of a large oil tanker. Probably in better shape than Lasogga was for us last year.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 14th Sept)

Has to be bad luck at this stage, especially to have two players from one position out at one time. Injuries to me don't seem consistent with being overworked but I could be wrong. The club vs country row depends on the sport. Football I am definitely a club man. Egg chasing and cricket I am country.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 13th Sept)

Never understood the notion of the players being overworked personally. They are meant to be professionals. Don't see people in manual trades taken 4 weeks off because they are overworked.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 12th Sept)

I thought I read that Bamford had done his PCL not ACL. I'd expect an ACL injury to take him out for the rest of the season not 4 months.

Bamford out for 4 months with the injury sustained against Bristol.
On the bright side hopefully get to see edmondson or Dalby in action.

Re: Next Six Games....

Is 19 an option. The FL introduce goalscoring bonus points over the break?

In seriousness I'd say 14. Two draws against Wednesday and Brentford.

There is no Plan B for Bielsa... it is stick with Plan A and if there has to be a change then improve Plan A.
Absolutely agreed. Said the same thing to my male parental figure on the phone this morning.
If plan A isn't working. Bring on players to make plan A more effective. I

Re: A Debt Of Gratitude owed?

I think you're probably right to a degree. The players brought in last season and are performing so well this year not only suit the system we are playing but have also had a year to accliamatise to English football. I always liked TC seemed like a genuine bloke who wanted to do well and yes did get...

Re: Kalvin Phillips

I have been a critic of Phillips in the past and thought that after the early hook at Swansea we had seen the last of him as I believe Baker to be a better player. However i am happy to eat humble pie as I believe this club needs players who will fight for Leeds and their shirt . Kalvin has done th...

Re: Kalvin Phillips

Never understood the vitriol towards Phillips or indeed some of our other maligned players (Cooper and Alioski included). Phillips has come through our academy and is Leeds through and through. Even on his off days (which admittedly have happened more often than he would have liked over the last few...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 24 Aug)

I'm not at all worried by this. Bielsa strikes me as a man of great integrity. Don't think he would cut and run for the money and also feel like he took this job because of the project rather than the money.

I think Cardiff proved last season that with a top coach an average squad can get out of this league....
Warnock, although limited is very good at getting teams up

Re: Derby County versus Leeds United Official match day thread

i was actually referring to the after match interview. I said it last week and said it again today... I do find it embarrassing . :bear: He can answer in pig Latin for all I care provided we keep performing like that. What a performance. Managed to pick the game up on the stream and it was a joy to...

Absolute belter.
Get Vydra and Bamford and I'd say it's a successful window. Assuming we will be looking at the loan market for a cb but who knows?

Re: To Panic Or Not To Panic

Think the transfer window has been slow going for a lot of teams. In my mind we need a striker a winger and a centre half now to be in good shape going into the new season. Lest we forget we have Roberts to come in and Ideguchi and Klich who haven't really played for us as well. Couple that with som...

Re: Clive's Stats

Agree the stats are dreadful and cannot defend them. But then to play devils advocate, look at the mess he inherited. We had been on our worst run (at the time) of the season and had also had god knows how many red cards we had picked up along with a horrific injury list. I cant defend the stats but...
