Re: Blackburn v Leeds Utd Match Thread

If Roofe is fit to start he plays. If not Roberts has done a stand up job in his absence. I would definitely look at Clarke regardless of any other fitness issues in the team. Looked quality in the Brentford game.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 17th Oct)

I think we all believed last year that the squad we had, underachieved based on their ability. IMHO we always had the players to compete at the sharp end of the league, but without the necessary leadership to instill in them the belief and discipline to do so. We proved at the front end of the year ...

Re: Are the FA serious?

Not surprised at all. Could see it coming from a mile off. Not hugely surprised he has been called up this as he was a silly boy and needs to keep his emotions in check. But I am more outraged that Pontus has been pulled up for this but a blatant dive and a headbutt go unpunished. Surely the FL need...

Are the FA serious?

So headbutting is okay? But a verbal outburst at the end of a game when emotions running high isn't?
They never fail to amaze me

Re: Radz rejects Leeds bids

Definitely not impossible. I'd say our fan base is still bigger than city or Chelsea and probably spurs as well.
None of those clubs would survive if they fell like we had. Definitely not with 30k turning up every week in the championship and selling out their away allocation week in week out.

Radz rejects Leeds bids

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/45811803

Interesting article and shows where Radz sees us. Personally I think that he should be looking at making us a top 4 brand mot top 8.

19 points. Bonus point for putting 6 past West Brom.

Re: The Bodyguard

Just watched the entire series in one sitting. I got gripped from episode one. The sequence with the vest in the last episode was as tense as anything I've watched on TV.

Re: Leeds Utd v Brentford Match Thread

Been echoed elsewhere. But did the ref have a Brentford shirt on underneath? Watkins dives for the penalty. They should have had a second yellow for the fella who chopped Clarke down. The Ayling gets a second yellow for something much more innocuous. Glad we got the point anything less would have be...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds Utd Match Thread

We will come back into this. We have had most of the game to this point.
We are missing 4 frontline players at the mo as well. Don't think many championship sides would cope with having players the quality of roofe and pablo out.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 19th Sept)

Roberts was great last night and the first finish particularly was very smart. Looked like a weight lifted when the first goal went in. Thought all in all it was good performance with great intensity. Slipped off a bit in the middle of the second half but Preston never really looked like scoring (ot...

Re: Latest Injury Update

If they are looking for a striker, I was top scorer 3 years in a row for Wellington Under 14's, 15's and 16's.

Lethal left foot, hard to knock off the ball and the turning circle of a large oil tanker. Probably in better shape than Lasogga was for us last year.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 14th Sept)

Has to be bad luck at this stage, especially to have two players from one position out at one time. Injuries to me don't seem consistent with being overworked but I could be wrong. The club vs country row depends on the sport. Football I am definitely a club man. Egg chasing and cricket I am country.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 13th Sept)

Never understood the notion of the players being overworked personally. They are meant to be professionals. Don't see people in manual trades taken 4 weeks off because they are overworked.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 12th Sept)

I thought I read that Bamford had done his PCL not ACL. I'd expect an ACL injury to take him out for the rest of the season not 4 months.

Bamford out for 4 months with the injury sustained against Bristol.
On the bright side hopefully get to see edmondson or Dalby in action.
