Re: Cristiano Ronaldo

I prefer Messi on most levels because of his exceptional skills, humble demeanour and treatment of fans, but he cannot take a game by the scruff of the neck like Ronaldo did against Spain. He dominated everybody and personally ensured they got back in the game. Maradona did that, other really great ...

Mind you, a reasonably good opener for England - Harry Kane on form.
Sorry about your bet liggy.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 15 June)

Leon, I apologise for the 'Mod' remark. I really shouldn't have said that. I know you work hard but you really do trash a lot of our players (and are very insulting at that) for no apparent reason other than that you can.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 15 June)

Thank you Faaip. Leon, I did say 'no offence', even if it did sound insincere to you. I'm not 'having a monthly pop' so much as finding myself severely disillusioned with your tenure as a Mod. It seems my vote for you was misguided. Your opinions are best described as capricious, because you switch ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 15 June)

OK Leon, I’m going to relate a true story. I will try not to be too wordy or insulting in its telling. In 1962 a person called Jack Charlton of Leeds United came to Normanton Grammar School to represent Leeds United Football Club. I have no idea why he really came unless it was the club’s idea to re...

Re: 2018 WORLD CUP - Portugal v Spain. 7pm

A fabulous advert for world soccer - I was on my feet for much of the game.
Those who say Messi is the best need to look at Ronaldo and how he single-handedly took a game by the scruff of the neck and came back against perhaps the best team of the last 10 years.

By the way Cjay, you called it correctly on Heckingbottom before he was appointed and I think your analysis of our latest potential managerial acquisition is also spot on.

Kudos to you, a young man with wisdom beyond your years.

Re: Nagging Doubt about El Loco

A conundrum but I think you may be right. TC wasn't given the necessary backing. It turns out he was the right appointment but needed those players Orta/Radz didn't think necessary to complete the team to TC's intended specifications. So, is Radz about to make a second identical mistake or has he re...

True Leon. We do need more stability and only by hiring a good manager will he get somebody worth living with.
