Re: Greatest of all time

As a Norn Iron type, I never understand why Best is included in this lists, he was very very good, but if he had been joe average off the pitch he would not still be mentioned on it.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2017

My honest opinion is go for a CB now and send Shaughnessy out on loan to a club that will play him as a defender - till Christmas.

Re: Friday's Breakfast Debate - Stuart Dallas

I make no attempt to hide the fact I rate Dallas highly, especially now you have no loans outside the transfer window.

I think if we are playing BJ at left back you need Dallas in front of him else it would be too easy for opposition to find space behind.

Philips (allowed others to do the pretty things)
OKane (see above)
Dallas (Came on at a time when Sunderland were coming back into the game, scored a very good goal)

Found it very difficult to miss out Cooper and Saiz though.

Re: Player Profile 2017/18 - Liam Cooper

Many Leeds fans decide someone is not good enough, then always see the negative in anything they do.

(Also just the opposite, look at things the highly rated are forgiven!)

Re: Monday Breakfast Debate - Wood's replacement ?

Don't get the "Marquee signing" thing.

I would want two guys in, on to play as a lone front man, pref with championship experience even if they dont have a history of 20 goals a season.

I would also want a left winger / forward that could play in both positions.

Re: Elland Road Building Work

Old standing stadium which accommodated nearly 58,000 fans converted to an all-seater reducing the capacity to under 40k, then the corporate boxes reduced it another 3k Agree one of the worst stadiums for comfort, no leg-room whatsoever. That's why I prefer to stand in the Kop or South Stand East s...

I think with another new back four Bridcutt is a better bet on the bench and Anita a better bet on the pitch.

Re: Liam Cooper signs new 4 year deal

Having players who can play in a couple of positions especially as squad players is valuable, I am unconvinced anyone would show consistency when either not playing often or as part of some of our back 4's.............

Re: Berardi signs new 3 year contract

I think he is one of the few who could have played in any era, been a long time for me since the player putting in the most effort is also one of the most skillful.

Our best fullback and our best player for me.

Sad thing is, with the way the Championship is treated now, where do players develop to be better at longer formats?

Re: Tuesday's Breakfast Debate - Striker Signings....

I guess it depends if you see the Duke as a midfielder or a striker, if you see him as a midfielder them even with Erwin we only have 3 strikers at the club.

Personally I am not sure how people can see him as a footballer!
