Phil Hay recond he would be available for 3-4 million.

Could `lure` Janssen to stay if Bartley came back.
I doubt that tbh. Mawson will be sold and they will want to keep him, especially with the parachute payments, they won't sell unless they get a big bid.

Re: Kyle Bartley

Swansea wanted £8m last year before he signed a new contract, so we'd be looking at £10m+ for him, not worth anywhere near that! I'd rather sign Huth or Collins on a free.

Re: Gary Rowett

Overrated and limited in his style of play and transfer knowledge. Would not be surprised to see him sacked by November.

He's left Derby in a really bad position tbh. Loads of old players on their books they won't be able to shift and they need to sell for ffp.

No to Byram, we don't need him and I felt he was overrated before he left anyway. Can't defend and isn't a winger.

Re: England World Cup Squad 2018

Should have taken Sancho and Lookman. We desperately need some x factor to mix it up from the bench, our subs are always like for like or very limited in what they offer. There's little creativity there.

Re: Summer Transfers and Squad Discussion

Signing Gunn would be a slap in the face to BPF, he deserves a shot at being number one. I'd rather we had experienced cover, Mark Bunn on a free maybe.

James Collins released by West Ham. I definitely think we should be looking at him, experienced leader we're missing at CB.

Re: Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 21 May)

Ahh, but a midfielder that can keep the ball? We already have Klich who's good in possession and Rey too. How about we stop wasting money on positions we already have and give them a chance instead? As for Boxing, yes. We need to improve our commercial revenue to compete with the parachute payments...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 18 May)

I don't think you can blame the club if Pearce goes. What are they supposed to do offer him £40k a week? He's been sold the ££ by his agent, not the development of his career. Just look at Byram, Taylor and Garbutt for players who've struggled for game time since leaving for bigger pay packets.

Birmingham City have told David Stockdale he can leave St Andrew's

Stockdale is a Leeds fan.

Surely its a no brainer.....
No thanks he's on about £40k a week and hugely overrated. If he wasn't a Leeds fan, no one would even talk about him.

So is Abel Hernandez, and we are apparently in for him according to the YEP.
They're both on frees, so the money we'd save on transfer fees would go on wages. Fine by me. Although I think they'd both be on £30k max.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 16 May)

Well it would buy us a new CB and CF ...we don't need a new squad Agree. We need another CB (alongside Jansson, not a replacement), an experienced CM, maybe another winger and two strikers. Otherwise I think we're ok. I'd like to see the likes of O'Connor, Coyle, Pearce (if he stays), Rey, Klich, I...

Yes.

We could build a whole new squad for that.
We'd need to replace Jansson, buy another quality CB, an experienced CM, two strikers with that. It ain't gonna happen.

Pontus will be gone in the summer !
Then it shows we have no ambition. He signed a 5 year deal and we're not desperate to sell. Just keep our best players it isn't difficult.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 16 May)

Boro will do well. I hate these kind of managers, but Pulis types always know how to grind out wins. They'll probably sell Traore to someone like Huddersfield or Brighton. Gibson might go too. But otherwise most of their team will stay.

Question - If Jansson has a good World Cup and an offer comes in between 12-15m, would the club be stupid not to accept it?
Why? We won't replace him.

We need Huth on a free playing alongside him.

What is the point of this signing when we already probably have four better full-backs in Ayling, Coyle, Berardi & Pearce
Because Hecky doesn't know anything beyond Barnsley. McBurnie isn't good enough either.

And Villa have Steve Bruce Fulham is a lovely club, I wish we had the same desire I would take Cairney any day, oh another player we let out of our grasp after naturing him for nearly ten years :( You'll be telling me Vieira & Phillips are better than Cairney next, truth is they aren't ! Will I? No...

Re: Play-Offs 2017/18

God only knows how Boro finished as high as 5th on the evidence of these two legs, they were absolutely pathetic., barely laying a glove on Villa over the 180 mins. Dare i say it, typical Pulis side, boring as hell, no wonder the baggies fans wanted him out so badly, even to the point of being rele...
