Re: Blackburn v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Clarke to replace Harrison for me Had we retained Coyle he'd be an ideal replacement for Ayling down the right flank Alioski at LB if Douglas is unfair Roofe has to start, we need more goals Major concern Mrs Jansson hasn't dropped their sprog yet If Douglas wont share his crisps sort of thing then...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 17th Oct)

Not being harsh at all, the Brown loan is pointless and could have just been done in January, Baker and Blackman were only ever going to be squad fillers and Harrison has talent but looks less useful then our own teenage winger so yeah. The squad from last seaosn are playing very well, i do doubt th...

Re: Blackburn v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Have a horrible feeling that Jack Clarke will suffer because of Bielsa and his pecking order. Not a huge knock on Bielsa but i cant see him dropping Harrison because he probably gave Pep his word on game time. Not sure Berardi at right back will work in this system, his attacking play isnt good enou...

"whats that Newell's, you want to improve your training ground and need someone to design it". Not a problem, here is £3million, my sister will design it for you and my nephew will help her. :) What a good man  And does highlight he isnt here for the money. He has money, he isnt short of cash,...

September Goal Of The Month was a clean sweep :)

Matty Klich for his superb strike after a long passing move.

Re: Loan Signings

I'm not saying spend a fortune, but £3m net is tinpot for a club of our stature Give Bielsa the real deals & he would make them into even better players & promotion would probably be assured. Right now we are giving him turds to shine & just hoping we have enough ! With pineapples on there heads :)

Re: Championship 18/19

Good opportunity for us this weekend. Boro in 4th play Wednesday in 6th. West Brom in 2nd go to Wigan who have the 3rd best home revord in the league with 0 defeats winning 4 drawing 2 at home. Forest in 5th have Norwich in 9th. Blades in 1st go to Pride Park to face Derby whose only home loss was u...

Re: Loan Signings

Spot on Cjay We p*ss about looking for cheap options as we did with our £3m net spend this summer, this is the Leeds way hence why we are still in the championship Take out our two genuine quality players Jansson & Hernandez plus Roofe from our team for sustained period of time & our play is far fr...

Re: Loan Signings

If we got promoted then we could easily afford both of the 2 mentioned. Same with Mooy at Huddersfield - they had no deal to buy but because they got promoted they were able to afford £10m (without being disrespectful they probably wouldn't have been able to afford £2m if they hadn't been promoted)...

Re: Loan Signings

We should have gone in for Messi and Ronaldo too but like I pointed out already several of the players listed were never going to come to us. The only reason Gayle is at WBA is because Newcastle wanted Rondon and wisely WBA wanted Gayle who they know is proven at this level but whom Newcastle see a...

Re: Loan Signings

The 4 Wolves players were because of Mendes, so not really comparable or fair. Fulham had parachute payments which allowed them to pay all of Mitrovic's wages, £70k a week. We simply can't afford that. Taarabt wasn't on loan, he was £1m but we had Bates then who wouldn't pay a transfer fee. He was ...

Re: Loan Signings

We did go in for Barnes, he chose West Brom. Mount would be on the bench behind Saiz, he didn't do anything against us tbh, he stands out at Derby as they have a weaker team. Gayle wasn't available, he only went West Brom as they sold Rondon as part of the deal. Newcastle wanted £20m for Gayle, we ...

Re: Loan Signings

Unless we bid for them, how did we miss out on them? Mount would be on the bench if he was here, so not sure what we're missing. Again we play one up top, so where would Abraham fit? He waits for a tap in so not sure what he would even bring, certainly not what Roofe brings anyway. We should have b...

Re: Loan Signings

I'm glad that our best players aren't loans. How do you build a squad on loans? Look at Villa, they weren't for short termism and loans, now they have to rebuild again, again their best players look like being loans. Barnes will be recalled in January, maybe Gayle too if Newcastle are still struggl...

Re: Jeremy Simpson and Refs in General

Just a thought occurred to me about the FA message. Kids, listen up, its ok to do a questionable job, its ok as a ref to be inconsistent in your decision making. But its not ok to question authority. Its also ok to use violence, a little headbutt is fine in tense situations. What a great life lesson.

Re: Pontus Jansson

So, Jansson to be charged by the FA, while diving to cheat the referee and headbutting an opponent are ignored. We may also be cited for objects thrown after the non-penalty was converted by a player who incited the Leeds crowd which is also an offence What can the fan base do to make our anger and...

Re: Loan Signings

I firmly believe that all those players were available to us at a price. Mason Mount for example we dont know if it was a Derby only thing, it may have been but given they out bid us for Jozefzoon its entirely possible that they would have offered Mount a better package then us. Besic- Nobody will e...
