Re: 2019 Women's World Cup

The USA won't get past France if they play the way they did against Spain. Spain exposed their back four as being average, and France can put the ball in the back of the net. Further, France have beaten the USA two of the last three times they've played, including a 3-1 thrashing just this past Jan...

Re: 2019 Women's World Cup

From what I've seen of it, the USA are a cut above the rest and will most likely meet Germany in the final.

Re: The Early #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 24th June)

Morning All, I honestly thought a signing or two would be wrapped up by now as MB likes his players to have the full pre-season with him. I sincerely hope the wheels are in motion behind the scenes to bring a couple of players in, I guess the next couple of weeks will tell us more. I'm sure Bielsa s...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

If people think fans of other teams didn't laugh at our end of season collapse they are deluded. I took plenty of stick at work, probably more than most as the place I work contains predominantly fans of London based clubs. It comes with the territory of course as I am always quick to give it back. ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 21st June)

Morning All, The Salford cup game is 100% certain to be televised. Although it's at the bottom of the list of priorities for next season, I would hate to lose this game given the 'connections' at Salford. I agree with Ian regarding Forshaw, he is better than people on here gave him credit for. Yes h...

So basically what I said the other day....we're going to be almost totally reliant on the U23's being able to make the step up.
While at the same time selling our most promising youngster for many a year.

Last away game - Derby
And we finish at home to Charlton. What's the betting that game has some significance for us and Sky will be all 'Lee Bowyer against his former club' blah blah blah

Opening Day Fixtures

With the EFL fixtures due to be announced tomorrow, any thoughts on who you would like us to face first game? And home or away?
We're bound to be on Sky whoever it is.
I have a feeling we will start with Cardiff away for some reason.

Re: 2019-20 LUFC Squad

Blimey, that's an enormous squad. I can't see any of the keepers being released unless BPF is told he won't be No1 and asks for a move but from the rest we should offload: Anita De Bock Shaughnessy Denton O'Kane Rey Sacko (still can't believe we gave him a 4 year deal) Ideguchi Cibicki Ekuban Wilks ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 18th June)

Morning All, I honesty don't think they will ever stamp out racism completely in society let alone at football matches. There will always be people who use the colour of someone's skin as an excuse to shout abuse. Pathetic people with no lives. Jay-Roy Grot should be given pre season to prove his wo...

Re: Concerning Transfer Policy

It seems to me that AR is hanging his hat on a number of the U23's stepping up to the first team next season. While we all aknowledge how good some of them are, it's a bit much to expect them to cope with the rigours of a 46 game championship season after predominantly playing U23 football. We just ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 17th June)

Afternoon All, Yosuke Ideguchi should be allowed to return to Japan and try to get his career back on track. Things haven't worked out for him either here or in Spain so the best thing for all concerned is a return to his native country. It's a shame as he looked to have real promise. Liam McCarron ...

upload_2019-6-17_9-24-19.pngLet's go back 5 years to the 2013/14 season.

How many of these players would get a starting place today?
Well Charlie Taylor and Lewis Cook are both playing at a higher level, so definitely those two.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 14th June)

Morning All, I am going to start by say I HATE the close season. All the speculation about who we might be signing and who might be leaving does my head in. The sooner the season is here and we know what the squad is, good or bad, the better as far as I'm concerned. If clubs really are offering 14 m...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

No need to look abroad or even the Premier League for quality signings. Quality championship players with an eye for goal such as Reece James, Luke Freeman and Adam Reach plus a quality center back along with the likes of Bogusz, Shackleton, Halme etc coming through and we could win the league comfo...

Dan James having medical at Man U this morning. And they're paying five times what we were going to....says it all really.
I think he'll be a star in the Premier.
