Re: MB Issues

It's all very well saying the Nketiah or Costa should start, or should be brought on earlier, and people are perfectly entitled to that opinion. But no-one sees the players at training every day like Bielsa does. Maybe he feels they are not ready yet. And remember the calls for Clarke to start when...

Re: Home Form

It's frustrating for sure but Klich despatches the penalty, it's 3 points and we're all happy. MB's substitutions can't be blamed for a missed penalty. Sooner or later some team is going to cop a walloping off us at ER. We're not firing on all cylinders yet and we're top of the league. It's not as b...

Plus the fact we've had less injuries

Jinxed
Less?
We're only in September and Ayling, Roberts, Douglas, Cooper and Foreshaw have all missed games already.
The difference being we have coped seemlessly.

Re: Bielsa/Alioski Press Conference Pre-Derby - 19/09/2019

I wonder how long Forshaw will be missing, a real injury prone player A real shame for him as he was playing the best he has ever played for us. However Jamie Shackleton is a more than adequate replacement. That's the big difference this year. We now have a stronger squad and can cope with injuries.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 16th September) - Leeds leave it late against Barnsley

Morning All, I didn't see the game yesterday as I was dragging my fat arse around a 60 cycle sportive so I had to settle for the 15 minute highlights on Sky last night. The game went just as I expected, Barnslety would raise their game (surprise surprise) but we would show enough quality in the end ...

Re: Barnsley v Leeds Utd Match Thread

For the first time in a long time I have a feeling Bielsa make a change or two for this game. I think either Costa or Nketiah will start but not both. I think Alioski will keep his place. The bench is likely to be the same unless someone is dropped and he decides to include Roberts on it (way too so...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 5th Sept) - Trio of Championship clubs face FFP misery

Morning All, I agree with Ian on this. Yes, it could be considered fraud but they will almost certainly consulted some very clever lawyers / accountants prior to exploiting the loophole and consider they have done nothing wrong. They will no doubt get away with it and the loophole will be closed to ...

Re: Offensive and Defensive

All fine margins. Forest we dominated, we led, we never looked troubled at the back. Nothing wrong with the performance and as such then there was nothing wrong with the team selection. We score a second or don't concede and everyone would have said what a great performance. Swansea we dominated. S...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 4th Sept) - Gary Neville's warning to Bielsa

Morning All, I definitely think Costa should be starting now and unfortunately I think should be at Pablo's expense unless he is moved to the left and Harrison is dropped. There's no denying Pablo's qualities but Costa can unlock defences with his pace and skill and give the opposing full back a tor...

Re: The Road to Superbowl LIV

Looking forward to another year in the NFL. Was in Gillette Stadium Foxboro, place for the 6th championship banner was ready. Should see it hoisted this Sunday. Lucky to live in Boston area, with both Red Sox and Patriots winning last year. Hoping Bruins go one step closer and Celtics make it a fun...

Re: The Road to Superbowl LIV

I'm a big NFL fan, not in Faaip's league when it comes to stats etc but I watch it every Sunday. I'm a Patriots fan and have been since 1986, the year they got to the Superbowl and trounced by the then mighty Chicago Bears. I just started watching it that year and decided to go with the Pats and the...
