Re: Golf Thread - The Masters

I like Charley too. Powerful player. I think she beats herself up a bit sometimes when she's having a bad round. A bit like Lexi Thompson - both play under their potential a bit to me because of the mental side. I also like Georgia Hall - seems like a really nice person. I really like Georgia Hall ...

Re: Today's Games

If Saints win all 4 remaining games, and on tonight’s showing it looks like they might, they’d finish on 96 points If that happens, Leeds can only make 93. Leicester & Ipswich can only get 97 & 98 respectively if they are perfect, so 2 of the top 3 could find themselves in the playoffs afte...

I think you have to be 18 handicap or lower to play there don't you MJS?
That would rule out three quarters of my society 😂

Re: Golf Thread - The Masters

Agree Chilli - women's golf is great to watch, and Nellie's performance of late has been incredible. She has won from the front and has also won coming from behind. Her win at the women's matchplay last weekend was a good example. Poor Leona Maguire never had a chance in the final - although she di...

Re: Golf Thread - The Masters

Do any of you watch the women's golf? I do when Sky cover it. It's their first major this weekend, the Chevron Championship, and Nelly Korda is bidding to win her fifth consecutive LPGA event, a feat that has only been achieved twice before in history. She is the female equivalent of Scheffler, alwa...

Re: Striker selection poll

Joseph.
He's an 'instinct' striker, knowing where to make his runs in the box. Sort of like Ian Wright used to do for Arsenal.
And in my opinion, the best finisher we've got at the moment.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 16th April) Why no 'B' plan

There are a number of potential reasons why our form has slumped recently but right now it's purely down to not putting the ball in the back of the net. With the exception of the Sunderland game we are still creating enough chances to win games but not being clinical enough. Teams are well aware of ...

Re: Golf Thread - The Masters

Yes, I know all that. But he was really only dominant for those two season. I wouldn't say he was dominant "by a long stretch". Rory and even Jason Day were equally as strong about then, no? No mistake he played amazing golf throughout that period. But no-one ever talked about Jordan as b...

Re: Golf Thread - The Masters

He’s way better than Spieth imo. Between the ears mainly. Spieth threw his 2nd masters in the pond at the 12th a few years ago. Can you imagine S-Dog doing that. But I love watching Spieth. One of the most creative players I’ve ever seen. Hopefully he finds his best form again. I love the way Speit...

Re: Golf Thread - The Masters

Yes Malcolm the S-Dog is on another level but he has a long way to go to be mentioned in the same breath as Tiger. He looked like a cripple at the end btw. Agree on the LIV w**kers. Disappointed that Rory wimped out. Again. Rory may win another major at some point but he'll never win the Masters. T...

Well done to Ludvig Aberg for finishing second in his first ever major. He was in with a real shout until he double bogeyed the 11th.
He is Europe's next big star.

Re: Golf Thread - The Masters

Should be an exciting last round with an ultra tough firm & fast Augusta. Would like to see someone knock Scheffler off his perch tbh. No fish jokes…. I honestly don't think anyone will beat Scheffler. The bloke is like a robot. He's undoubtedly the best player in the world right now but I find...

It should have been 6 points from Tuesday and today.
Surely Ipswich won't f**k up today?
