Re: Arsenal v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Bielsa takes on the Premier League

Typical Leeds game really. Don't take our chances and then scuffed lucky goal goes in. Still can't really complain, we don't have the squad for a cup run and we have a good account of ourselves. Meslier, Harrison, Klich and KP all had good games. '64 must be buzzing KP having a good game against top...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

We should have lined up replacements for Nketiah and Clarke weeks ago. It was obvious they were going. No excuses for Radz or his fanboys this transfer window.

Re: Slaven Bilic

Great to see a respectful and graceful team competing with us, makes a change from the classless Norwich, Blunts and Villa from last year. Hope the top two remains as it us.

Blimey how do little Brentford do it ?

I love the Bees ambition
They don't have tight owners like we do.

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

Brentford dont hang around, 2.3M for CF Halil Dervisoglu from Holland. Bees fans might have a tough time thinking up a song for him.. They've spent a lot of money this season. How comes they can spend but we can't after bringing in £40m this summer? Ffp my arse. Brentford turnover will be half of o...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

MB has never liked older players, Pablo is the exception. A 36 year old Glenn Murray wouldn't work imo. And frankly i would hope we have higher ambitions. MB has always said he wants better then we have, thats what we should be after not squad fillers. January is when you make the big push, Mitrovi...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

Glenn Murray being linked on Twitter. I'd take that tbf. Experienced, scores goals and won't need to start every game and will hold the ball up. Much better than Brewster or another u23 player.

Re: Strongest XI

No Left sided defender named in that list, feels a bit overly stacked in CMF with Shack, Klich, Phillips and Pablo. It looks like Costa and Hernandez wing and Bamford up front. Unless you have Kalvin starting CB in 3 with Dallas and Harrison as wingbacks, Bamford up . A left wing in Costa, Pablo ri...

Strongest XI now is about right as the team more or less picks itself

We only have 13 fit experienced players to call on.....a ridiculous scenario!
Nketiah and Clarke weren't experienced either though.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 2nd January 2020) Battle of the titans ends in stalemate

I'd rather get a CB in. Clarke was from the u23s, so why not replace him with Stevens? Plus if we replace Clarke and Nketiah with loans, then we'll have to leave one out again.

Re: Wayne Rooney's Derby County

He was playing in the MLS for a reason. It took Harrison 8 months to get up to the fitness and speed of the Championship and he's 11 years younger.

Meanwhile, Leeds have identified Jack Clarke's replacement, and its another winger. Unfortunately at this stage, that is all we know! Do Leeds need another winger? Wouldn't they be better off using their last loanee for an established defender or central midfielder?
Welcome home Jimmy Kebe.

We will spend all window going after Adams and then it won't happen and we'll sign no one. I'll just get it out the way now to save you getting your hopes up for a month.

Re: West Brom v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Nketiah starts, Bamford returns to bench

Thought he was outstanding when he came on. Everything clicked into place with Paddy leading the line. Douglas also deserves some credit after coming on for the woeful Alioski. I was impressed with Douglas today. Hopefully he gets a chance to make that LB spot his again. I prefer Alioski coming off...

I doubt Roberts will play as he has a hamstring problem again
There's a surprise. Knowing the club, they were banking on him being Nketiah's replacement, so hopefully it will force is into making a signing.

Needs to play in a team that plays 2 up front, he's not a lone striker.
You could see from today how much of a struggle it was against big physical defenders and every team has them, so it won't be easy at Bristol City.
