Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 6th Nov)

I recon Saiz would be perfect for the last 20/30 minutes of a game wether we are winning or losing, Pablo will be blowing by then and Saiz would find plenty of space, I was crying out for him to come on Sunday he would have had a field day

Re: So are we still gonna fall apart ?

Think it's 5 different teams have topped the division in the last 3 weeks. We have the most difficult game of the top 6 over the weekend, so it could all change again. Tough game at Albion but it’s a good time to play them, it’s a Sheffield derby where form will go out of the window and as we know ...

Re: One touch passing/Movement

It's true Phillips could possible fill the role but I prefer the role he is playing at the moment sitting in front of the CB's breaking up the opposition's play. He's made that position his own this season. Gone are the days of his reckless lunges and getting caught in possession. There is an air o...

Re: BielsaBall Gone Viral

There's a clip from yesterday that has been viewed millions of times all over social media. Its probably the most exceptional example of what the teams about. Forget the passing, movement, all that stuff. How about desire, workrate, team ethic, fitness. Made me feel proud to be Leeds! It highlights...

Phillips already plays as one of our three CB's NW

He lines up in the middle of Jansson & Cooper
Good afternoon 1964, I would say he sits in front of the 2 central defenders, if we lost Cooper or Jansson he could comfortably fit in there with Forshaw playing the Phillips role

Re: One touch passing/Movement

We are walking the tightest to tightropes with regard to the CB's. If either of them get injured or suspended we don't have Ayling or Beradi to fill in until Cooper or Jansson return. I guess Shaughnessy would be nest in the pecking order but he hasn't kicked a ball for the first team this season. ...

Re: Wigan Athletic v Leeds Utd Match Thread

How many times have guys on here said we should have buried this team or that as they are absolute garbage, maybe time for you doubters to take a step back and think actually we are making them look garage by playing them off the park!!!!

Defensively Wigan look very suspect. They let Billy Sharp put 3 past them.
Seem a very different team at home though, they would have studied our game at Blackburn and will fancy their chances, we have got to take the game to them and obviously tighten up on set pieces,

Re: Wigan Athletic v Leeds Utd Match Thread

In the last game he gave Tom Pearce a go at left back as a substitute when Ayling went off injured He replaced Dallas who them moved to right back, and then about half an hour later Pearce the substitute gets hauled off, and Alioski moves to the left back position, and everybody wonders has Bielsa ...

Chris wood on loan please, with our creativity going forward he would be ideal to get us up as Mitrovich did at Fulham

Re: Achilles Heels

A 3rd of the way through now and we sit 2nd. Far above where anyone probably expected with the 2nd best defence and attack. However, we maybe should be top. There have been to many points dropped against teams who should have been beaten. Sheffield Wednesday the obvious one. But the team has some i...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 26th Oct)

I’m more than happy we are discussing who plays and where they play , it shows we have quality in depth and versatility, something we have been lacking for a while, personally I would play Phillips deep, Forshaw further forward and Klich behind Roofe, Klich always looks comfortable in possession and...

Some negativity on here is truly amazing!! I’m quite sure Boro and Sheffield Utd would have been delighted with a dominant display and most importantly 3 points this week!!!

Rumours that Bamford is ahead of his target and training already, would be a great boost to get Brown and Bamford back sooner rather than later

Re: Are the FA serious?

So Pontus DOES get a one match ban. Typical EFL. Jokes on them though, he wasn't available anyway due to the birth of his child. Interesting the timing of it, wonder what would have happened in this scenario had Pontus scored an equaliser or winner against Birmingham and then subsequently banned. E...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 22 Oct)

It wasn’t great at Blackburn but over 60% possession 20 shots at goal and 11 corners suggests we weren’t as bad as some people make out, I know I sound like a broken record but a proven goal scorer is essential in January

Re: Samu Saiz

Made one good pass in the buildup to the goal. Apart from that he was poor again. His only redeeming quality atm is that he is good at running with the ball. But he often holds on to it far to long which kills attacks or plays the wrong pass or plays a bad pass as he did in the buildup for Blackbur...

Re: Square Pegs In Round Holes

I don't agree it's similar to last year at all. Last year whenever we conceded we folded, whereas we seem to play our best when we go behind and you feel there is always a goal in us. But for a magnificent save from Klich, we'd have taken a point yesterday. You also have to take into account we're ...
