Re: Supporting Leeds

1979 - 7 years old when I just started playing at school. My best mate was the football expert, had one of those dad's that was bent on him being a pro. It was just after the glory years and his dad had drilled Leeds into him. Since he really got me into football I picked the same team too. A couple...

Re: Given Up

I keep supporting Hecky week after week. Tired of the turmoil over recent years, I want to see a manager be given a reasonable amount of time. But after the Norwich game I started thinking about the X factor - the coach. How a good coach can turn an average group of players into a better team. Whate...

Re: Keep, release or send out on loan

We're keeping more than 13. Everyone is under contract now. Except for the loanees. I think we need to keep the bulk of the squad, trim a little and add 3 established players. That said, I'm transfer listing: Anita, Sacko, Wiedwald, Lonnegan, Cbicki, Antonssen, Murphy Sending out on loan: Grot Addin...

3-5 of these please. No scouting required.
Could we afford the wages of one?

I think he needs to bulk up a little before I would say he's completely ready. I can see him next year as first back up at LB, or going out to L1 on loan for a full season.

Another pathetic defeat so they leak it to Billy Whizz that they're after Kyle Bartley to stop the atmosphere next week being totally toxic.
That was my thought exactly. Coincidence that the story came out the same day as a horrible loss?

What is our coaching set up like behind Heck? Always seems when we are good our assistant coaches/specialist coaches are a big influence...
Corberan looks like he's having a good influence with the success of the 23's and the players we've seen come through.

Fingers crossed we can get rid of 6 of the dead wood, Lassie will be gone, hopefully Wiewald, Anita, Eunan, Sacko would be four if want our, Grot, philips on loan? I think Saiz will certainly have his agent lookiing if there is anything better for him, hopefully we can keep him and he learns to be ...

Re: What happens next?

I don't think our squad looks too bad. Last summer's strategy was mass recruitment, based mainly on the fact that the U23's were seen as a little thin. I think we're only light in 3 positions now and those positions need to be addressed with established players. We had a wage budget limit this seaso...

Re: Summer Transfers and Squad Discussion

You then have the 3rd choice player for each position as the U23 player and 4th choice U18 player and should be covered. Hopefully the U23 players have progressed enough to be knocking on the first team door I think the issue with that is what we do with the U23's that are most ready. Would O'Conno...

Interesting? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35p4IUNOvWM Excellent: In summary as concerns the the squad for next year: Trim the first team squad to cut the wage bill and allow us to offer higher wages to less players. Quality player and a statement of our intent. Hopefully will convince the likes of Jansson to give it another year and attract other signings too.

Re: Post season tour

Myanmar isn't banned by FIFA. They played in the world cup qualifiers and won 2 and drew 2 out of 8. They're ranked 135th by FIFA. It's not a black hole and if FIFA sanctions games there, there's no reason why Leeds can't play there either. Second it's not about the Myanmar government. It will be gr...

Re: Post season tour

The idea of a post season tour makes sense. It's scheduled during the time of the playoffs so it doesn't really add anything to the end of the season beyond where we'd have hoped to have been anyway. It also makes sense in terms of a mini gathering for some of the fringe players although I really wo...
