Re: Positives & Negatives v Manure (one of each please)
Negative - could be summed up in us being so badly surprised that a team would read us like a book and use their massive resources to carve up our obvious weaknesses in 20 minutes. This game reminded me of the first leg play-off against Derby. In that match you could tell that the great tactician F...

Re: Bielsa OUT
Call me crazy but I can’t ever see myself calling for Bielsa out! Mind you, I’m sure a lot of Arsenal fans would have said that about Wenger in 03/04. As things stand, I am a hell of a long way away from calling for him to go. Even if we get relegated, I don’t see any other manager getting more out...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 21st December) - Leeds destroyed at Old Trafford
We currently have two major problems - one of which has been with us throughout MB's tenure at the club. These are 1) currently having the most leaky defence in the PL after having the meanest defence in the championship last season and 2) the inability to convert most of our chances. This latter p...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 21st December) - Leeds destroyed at Old Trafford
Can we play the same way we did in the Championship, in the Prem, or are our current players not strong enough? Of course we can. It doesn't mean though that we will win the premier league. We have already shown we can mix it with anyone, even yesterday there were positives. Give us a settled defen...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 21st December)
Leeds were taught a lesson in clinical finishing yesterday afternoon as the red roses of Lancashire ran riot over the White roses of Yorkshire; leaving Leeds with the unwanted statistic of being the only club in the Premiership to concede 30 goals! Even after the embarrassing loss, Bielsa stood tal...

Re: Goals conceded
Isn't it time we put some of the youngsters on the bench such as Greenwood, Gelhardt and Bogusz ? 8 out of 11 of the players today were the same players who started virtually every match for us last season in the championship. I would like to see Bogusz given a chance at no 10 with Rodrigo competin...

Re: Manchester United v Leeds United - 6-2 - MOTM
I would agree with Faaip. Obviously the better sides have better finishers and so mistakes are punished more often but equally it is still a case of us making the mistakes rather than the system. If we don't give the ball away as often as we did today, and v Chelsea, we don't concede the goals. The ...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Manure (one of each please)
Positives - To be honest after 3 minutes it was obvious it wasn't going to be our day. McTominay scores 1 a season and he gets 2 v us. Everything they hit on target went in - just one of those days. So the positive is that the lads kept going, kept playing their football and taking the game to MU, w...

Re: Goals conceded
We got away with it in the EFL we just haven't appreciated the step up at times and what that means. We are more likely to get punished than in the EFL that is straightforward - we are playing against players with that bit more skill and ability. We also are weaker defensively this year than last w...

Re: Manchester United v Leeds United - 6-2 - MOTM
Maybe mate as both were abysmal today, culpable for the first three goals. Bielsa obviously didn't rate their performance as he dragged them off at half-time & replaced two internationals with kids I rather feel Bielsa had thought the game was over at half time (from the perspective of us getti...

Re: Jack Harrison
Joint 5th in the Premiership for assists too. I think sometimes fans seem to run down our players in comparison to players at other teams . Presume it comes from mainly just seeing the highlights of other team's games so you don't see all the misplaced passes etc just the pass that led to a goal or ...

Re: Jack Harrison
Leeds United star Jack Harrison has made the joint-most key passes in Europe this season. The Whites winger is tied with Paris Saint-Germain star Angel Di Maria when it comes to key passes made in Europe's top five divisions so far during the 2020/21 campaign. Both Harrison and Di Maria have made 11...

Re: TV/Radio Football Pundits - Likes/Dislikes
I do like Martin Tyler. Think him and Gray were a superb double act and were both klnowledgeable about the game and were a bit part as to why Sky Sports took off. I think a lot of people had got bored of the stale BBC commentaries. Got a soft spot for Alistair Mann who is a commentator for BBC. Noth...

That for me is why I can see them winning the title as they are still close to the top and haven't even got into 2nd gear yet this season. If they click they could easily string 10 wins in a row together.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 4:57 pm City are just not clicking can't see past LFC for the title.

Re: Raphinha
He'll improve that ratio given time, he likes to move the ball quickly. I have no doubt he will. Probably a case of sometimes playing the simple ball more often and not always looking for the killer pass that has less percentage of reaching the target. A bit like Pablo really in that Pablo's stats ...

Re: Kalvin Phillips
I hope Southgate sees what Bielsa sees. Southgate isn't on the same planet as Bielsa when it comes down to getting the best out of the players he has and being able to knit average players into a team capable of playing such bold attacking football. Southgate, like various others in the premier lea...

Re: Goal Of The Day
Can't help but feel disappointed with this goal. The lad clearly runs out of energy due to Bielsa fatigue and instead of taking it further and making sure he ends up toepoking it as he collapses to the ground exhausted. A fitter player would have dribbled past the two defenders, then round the keepe...
