Re: Leeds Positive Stats

I think people forget how bad 13 of the previous 15 years were, before Bielsa arrived, financially, playing wise, pluswe now have 8- 10k on the crowd each week, (some seem to bemoan that stat too) nothing is perfect and doubt it will ever be. For those 15 years it was always hope through blind fait...

Re: Jack Harrison

His successful take-ons ratio is pretty low and his delivery hasn't been great recently, not when you compare to Costa anyway. Thing is we know he can do it. We know he can score goals, we know he can deliver god balls he just isn't consistent. Which I suppose is why he is at Leeds not playing at Ci...

Bielsa’s steadfastness is a quality that should be admired

https://www.motforum.com/images/th/bielsa8.png Content by rab_rant from our Marcelo Bielsa Post Swansea discussion thread. There is this idea going around that Bielsa is too stubborn to make changes. Eddie is the new kid on the block, the pretender to the throne of King Paddy. We see his movement a...

Re: Do Leeds create enough quality chances at Elland Road?

Leeds were rumoured to be looking for a striker who's good in the air. Without one, all that pressure, and those crosses is wasted. The Arsenal loanee is not the answer. I see Bamford making runs, front post, back post etc But I also see poor delivery from crosses, we need to improve the quality. F...

Think is Harry, I dont think thats true.

Play like we did against Swansea and we should win 9 times out of 10. But you can point to so many occasions last season; QPR, Wigan, Ipswich just a few examples.

Do Leeds create enough quality chances at Elland Road?

https://www.motforum.com/images/th/leeds_v_swansea_16goal.png All the talk before Saturdays game from the statisticians was about Swansea to being ‘lucky’ to be where they are because they don’t create many quality chances. Coming into the match against Leeds their expected goals (xG) was 7.7 which...

Re: Leeds Utd v Swansea City Match Thread - Cooper Returns

It was we pretty obvious needed a prolific goalscorer in the summer, we refused to go out & spend big money on one of the most important positions in a team, as it stands we are relying on a plodder who misses more than he scores & a young kid to produce the goods up top Strikers will miss ...

All the talk before game was about Swansea to being ‘lucky’ to be where they are because statistically they don’t create many quality chances. Well they take theirs and we don’t take ours.

Caught the last 30 minutes of the first half on the radio.

Aye got my copy here, started reading it but been a bit occupied recently, need to pick it back up. Written in Moscow’s usual style it is a great read and brings a different whit and perspective to previous histories I have read.

Re: Leeds Utd v Swansea City Match Thread

Swansea were our first real test last season, I thought Potter at least matched Bielsa in terms of tactics and his team carried out his instructions with intensity.

A different prospect this season but playing well. They aren't creating too many chances but they are taking them, oposit to us usually.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 29th Aug) - Is it Nketiah time yet?

Nketiah has certainly impressed, but Bamford has been taking his chances and working well for the team. Would be nice to see them play together, but who do you drop? It may be better he is best used from the bench for the moment, his pace and movement can really disrupt tired teams. As for Stuart Da...

Does Tuesday's League Cup defeat to Stoke raise questions?

https://motforum.com/images/th/costa_stoke.png I dare say many Leeds United fans aren’t too bothered about the League Cup this season but it’s still gutting going out after the fight back. Marcelo Bielsa made eight changes to the team that beat Stoke at the weekend and while Nathan Jones made nine ...
