up on the o/s now.

apparantly needs to pass a medical which sounds ridiculous to me, seeing as he's been here for a few months already..

I am a bit surprised that we have signed him considering that Grayson only used him as a bench player all the time he was on loan.

Not suprised the club went after him, but i am suprised that Gradel actually wanted to come coz as you say, he'll only ever be an impact player off the bench...

A bloody good impact player mind you... and one that has already won us 2 or 3 games.. and would probably have beaten Carlisle for us..

great news!

Can cause loads of problems off the bench with his pace against tired legs.

I can see him developing nicely under SG and rest of the coaching staff. Good news, good signing.

I agree - it'll be good to have him with us. What I love is his attitude and commitment to us - he actually asked for the transfer.
Not that I'm particularly bothered but does anybody know what the fee is?

Hearing 200K and a sell on bonus...attitude and commitment?...he gave up his Leicester commitment bonus to put hissen on the transfer list to get here.

The medical is compulsory when you are spending money on a player. For all we know he may have a serious injury that hasn't shown itself in his play. With him being here on loan we weren't risking money and if any injury had have appeared we'd have shipped him back to leicester to fix.

I think Gradel fells much more part of things here. Yes he may have been only an impact bench player but better to be a bench player than not even making the bench at Leicester. One or two injuries or rotating of the squad and he will get games.

Worryingly - Cheltenham failed to pick up on Higgs' serious injury probs...and WE didn't pick them up in his pre signing medical?

They are only standard checks, not invasive nor rigorous, they are only a couple of hours long cant be expected to pick everything up. As for Higgs it can only take one injury to cause serious problems, look at Ferdinand now.

This is awesome news, though pretty well expected. Max is a great option to have on the bench for the end game. If rumours are true he has only cost us the sell on money from Killgallon's move this week.

I have been in contact with LUFC and asked them if YOU can make sure Max doesn't have piles or IBS or george best liver symptoms....so far, no reply!

We do seem to have a bit of a history for signing crocks.

I think every professional football club has signed players who turn out to be wastes of space. We don't hold the market on that, fortunately. In Larry and Staff We Trust.

The medical is pretty much a formality but necessary none the less. I'd like to see a lot more of Gradel and i think with the right coaching he will become more than just a super sub, and develop into a player that can keep that fast pace up for the full 90 mins
