more thoughts on beckford

Post by Silky » Sat Jan 23, 2010 8:56 pm

clubs like Wolves, Hull, & Sunderland are more likely to offer silly money for him now..

even though one was (in a way) lucky.. and the other was a penalty... that's now 3 goals in 2 games against Premiership opposition... i'm sure someone will make an offer between now and the end of the month..

Sounds like he would want around £4mil to let him go:

Having said that i think we should keep him because he is in great form at the moment, and bringing in a different type of striker could cause a disruption on the entire squad.

Would have to be silly money to let him go now. Ken and Simon will have seen how much the saga affected the club earlier in the month. It would be monumentally stupid to allow this to destabilise things again.

Thought Duffen had left Hull, thats why the 'irregularities' have come to light?

Doubt anyone will come in for Beckford this window, lots of clubs will have been alerted to him and will see how he does for the rest of the season. They may then contemplate offering him a deal, and a nice signing on fee, in the summer.
