First taster of the new Deftones album. I'm not bowled over on first listen but I'll give it a few goes. As I say, loved their previous album.

Just love this gorgeous atmospheric album, reminiscent of Liz Frazer/Bush moments too

Picked up a couple of Weezer albums earlier, the "I was sure I had that but best get it" continues!

Isn't Murphy a meth-head these days? Pretty sure I read about him being busted with crystal meth and smoking paraphernalia in LA last year. Shame, if true; one of my favourite gigs of the last 10 years was Bauhaus in Dublin when they reformed back in 2006

Now that I didn't know. Knew the Mick Karn link, but not Pete Murphy. They've been on my list of things to listen to for some time (loved Karn's playing - another one taken too soon :-() but the list keeps getting longer and longer...

Anyway, this topic has been way too active recently, so I thought it was time to kill the thread again...

Had a listen to the new Kula Shaker album yesterday, enjoyed it on first listen, first track typical K S, then the album takes a different turn, from country type music to Levellers type stuff. Worth another play today.

New Sophia album out next month. One of my favourite bands (as were The God machine - Robin Proper Sheppard's previous band). New single available to stream on Bandcamp. Sounds excellent.

It's certainly a change of direction for Puscifer. The debut was stunning, one of my top 20, but it was nothing like this, that was almost tribal and rhythmic. Money Shot is much more mainstream and good enough but lacks the vibrancy and power of V is for Vagina
