Got a bit of Elliott Smith going on this evening, very talented chap and a shame he wasn’t around a lot longer to produce so much more.

Have three or four ES albums on my shelves Norfolk

I seem to recall his Either/Or album is his best work, must have a listen again

I Like the XO album best out of the ones I've heard.

This weeks playlist

Ghostpoet - Dark Days + Canapés
Barr Brothers - Queens of the Breakers
Elliott Smith - Either/Or

After remembering Delores listening to five Cranberries albums last week, sadly I'm mourning Mark E Smith so several Fall albums lined up including a wonderful box-set I own by one of Manchester's finest

The Fall - Interim
The Fall - Your Future Our Clutter

More Fall to come 8-)

Playlist this week

Elton John!
Elton John - his second album & his best imo, everyone should own this gem !
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Captain Fantastic

Monica Vasconcelos
The Sao Paulo Tapes : Brazilian Resistance Songs

Alt-J
Relaxer

Even if you're not a Elton John, have a listen to this song. Mrs 64 once commented you wouldn't think this was EJ

A lyrical masterpiece

Captain Fantastic is his magnum opus...and lyrically you cannot beat the song he wrote just after he pulled out getting married at the last minute..

I never realized the passing hours
Of evening showers
A slip noose hanging in my darkest dreams
I'm strangled by your haunted social scene
Just a pawn out-played by a dominating queen
It's four o'clock in the morning
Damn it listen to me good
I'm sleeping with myself tonight
