A couple of years ago mine (a Classic 80GB) made a funny noise in the car and just gave up the ghost - just a big cross across the screen.
I thought that was it, but I ended up sending it to somewhere in Brighton and they sorted it, together with new battery. Cost a few bob, but well worth it

Shah has made 3 very good albums, worth a listen.
Sandman was the main man in Morphine, the solo stuff is very similar.

He's someone I really have to be in the mood for, but enjoy it if he comes up on shuffle.

Re: O/T 1st ten tracks.
I guess 'The Worst Day Since Yesterday' is their best known song - I'm sure it's been on a couple of film soundtracks.
I only have the first two albums Swagger and Drunken Lullabies - a bit like the Pogues on punk speed (although not in Shane and the boy's league), although the odd slower one, as TWDSY.

First couple of albums are very good tbf. Saw them live a couple of times before Replenish was released around 94/95 down in tbe west country somewhere,

Bit like KoL for me, hot out of the gate but I don't think either band did anything interesting after album 2. Replenish/Glow get played here 2/3 times a year and they're on the ipods obviously

All new to me faaip. Of the 4 tracks I prefer the Grasscut track. Found KDJE and PS difficult listens.faaip wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 10:20 pm Guernican Perspectives - Kilamanjaro Dark Jazz Ensemble

Re: O/T 1st ten tracks.
Think I have around 40 plus Zappa albums on various formats maybe more. Mate has a round 80 ...big fan since schooldays. Grasscut are nice uncomplicated listen but I love KDJE and their other band The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation. Parov is just fun, Seven and Storm is an easier listen maybe ..a little more soulful for the most part
