Brighton, Newcastle & Norwich to go up
Brighton, Newcastle & Norwich to go up
Re: Championship Automatic Promotion Predictions?
Norwich and Newcastle their buying power, already good squads and got to say both have good managers

Newcastle and Brighton in whatever order. Norwich have buying power but, for me, Alex Neil is a clown

Agree on Brighton Nick who were unlucky not to go up finishing 8 points clear of the codheads needing to win at Boro' on the final day of the season. Chris Hughton is a shrewd manager who had to build virtually a new side after the Seagulls tinkered with relegation in the previous season, He has a good eye & signed some quality players particularly Knockhaert who made Brighton tick in the latter monthslufc1304 wrote:Newcastle and Brighton in whatever order. absolutely no idea...a lot depends on the start. Everyone starts from scratch and anything could happen. Some really good teams found themselves flirting with relegation last year

Re: Championship Automatic Promotion Predictions?
I do think Derby are due, Birmingham could be a sleeper. Wednesday should be top 6, Wolves have money it seems, probably need another season but should finish strong. Fulham will be top half if they ditch Ross. Norwich could struggle, Newcastle will be playing cup finals every week I'd expect a slow start.
Forest, Blackburn Cardiff and Midd'bro are all big names that could push. Us, I did hear Brentford could do well again. Ipswich are consistent..Villa might not be whipping boys. Wigan are not that long removed from the top division and as we know Div 1 winners often challenge upon promotion.
We are getting more money in the Championship, it is getting richer at least in terms of teams coming down and they should pay a premium for players in this league, spreading the wealth somewhat. Looks a tough league on paper and mid table is no disgrace. The premiership is getting weaker and we're getting stronger..take out the top 5/6 teams in the Prem and we're probably on even footing.

Newcastle and Brighton, but this is the Championship, arguably the best league in England!

Re: Championship Automatic Promotion Predictions?
Before last night I predicted Newcastle and Derby.
Re: Championship Automatic Promotion Predictions?
Well Nick, Norm, ldsutd & myself called it right with Brighton & Newcastle
Brighton always looked good after the disappointment of missing out in 2015/16
Hopefully their success bodes well for Leeds next season

Re: Championship Automatic Promotion Predictions?
If we'd had a Knockhaert type player (a winger well into double figures with goals and likely a few assists too) we could well have been in a top 2 place and certainly comfortably in the play-offs. Our wide men desperately need to be scoring more goals if a 1 striker formation is to work and ideally both wingers and the attacking midfielder would all hit double figures.1964white wrote:Agree on Brighton Nick who were unlucky not to go up finishing 8 points clear of the codheads needing to win at Boro' on the final day of the season.
