In 1984 I had to curtail my active service for 5 months due to injury, so was sent on a 4 month detatchment to the comcen (communication centre) in Port Stanley, this was a permanent message centre to send all military communications to and from the Falklands... My shift commander a Sergeant had only 2 cassettes Big Country, and Under a blood red sky.... for 3 months of the 4 we had to listen to them all night long (13 hours at a time) one after the other...

Suffice it to say, I cannot listen to either of them now.....
