This is more of Today I Learned fact.

Popular Korean phrase: 리즈시절 Translates to: Leeds Days

I had heard about this from a friend and so I asked a random Korean football fan about it's meaning. He told me it references Leeds United's late 90s/early 00's success and more specifically Alan Smith's success in that team. Both Leeds United FC and Alan Smith fell off soon after this "golden age".

Thought it was mental because I didn't think either Alan Smith or Leeds were all that popular in England these days, let alone in Korea.

(Sorry couldn't find an English link) Here's a link to the wiki for anyone who speaks Korean: https://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%EB%A6%AC ... C%EC%A0%88
