Still believe we are a season away from being the finished article to gain promotion, just hope we get lucky in the play-offs, you never know !

So did Brighton last year Leon - 89 points only for 'boro to pip them (via the wendies I think).
As most have said, the playoffs are a lottery.

The thought of the playoffs scares the hell out of me. BUT, so glad we have a excellent chance at them this season. Would love to see us go on a 9 match winning run to close out and go up automatically though.

If only we can recapture our form.

I'm not sure even that would guarantee 2nd place Dan - yes, in that scenario, we would take 3 points off Newcastle, Brighton and Reading, but there are too many variables from us being stuck 11 points behind the top 2 and even a potential 8 points behind Huddersfield.
Nice dream though.

We still have the points in the bag, also a far better goal average than Reading & Sheff Wed which could be worth a point come the end of the season

+2 on Reading
+4 on Sheff Wed
+5 on Fulham

Surely Reading & Wednesday will be even more fearful than us about Fulham

Update of wins in last ten matches

8 - Huddersfield
6 - Fulham
5 - Leeds
5 - Brighton
5 - Newcastle
5 - Sheff Wed
4 - Preston
4 - Reading
3 - Norwich
2 - Barnsley

Cheltenham races today. Copious amounts of Guinness followed by a jalfrezi when we get back. Could have my own squeaky bum, this time tomorrow.

Blackburn score at 90 +4
Fulham get a taste of their own medicine.
Bet it tasted bitter.

Feel much better after the Fulham Blackburn game 64. Gives us a cushion now for Saturday if we can't get past Brighton. I have to say well done to Blackburn, I didn't expect that result...bet Fulham didnt either....especially after 90 mins :-D

There aren't many really poor teams in this division. The likes of Wolves QPR Birmingham and Blackburn could all easily be promotion candidates next season. How much of the premierships bottom third have a shot at europe next season?

I may have to amend my predictions should we lose Pontus to suspension or god forbid an injury

3 Brighton (h)
3 Reading (a)
1 Brentford (a)
3 Preston (h)
1 Newcastle (a)
3 Wolves (h)
3 Burton (h)
1 Norwich (h)
3 Wigan (a)

21 points = 87 in total - top six place comfortably

I just hope we can finish 4th or 5th. I assume that in the play-offs, 3rd will play 6th and 4th will play 5th.
We can beat Reading or Wendies over two games and then that leaves us with needing to win one game.
Anything is possible for one game.
EDIT: Assume Huddersfield v. Fulham or Reading or Wendies.
However, I'm afraid of what might happen to us in the Prem if we do make it.

We'll probably have a season of bottom 3 football resulting in relegation. But then we get the parachute payment. We'd need an entire midfield and strike force to play in the prem

I’ve been thinking along the same lines; who funds our Prem squad. Unless something clicks, and quick, we still have a promising bunch, but promise is all.

Moreover, if we were to get to the Prem and do badly, would Cellino’s trigger finger need a splint? I would fear for Monk (and us).

Not sure Cellino will be here next season, regardless of where we are.

He'll probably sell his half at top dollar should we go up but not so sure he'll do that if we're still in the Championship next season
