The ECB are proposing a change to T20, rather than counties taking part "Cities" will, the ECB are offering out £1.3M in "compensation" to counties that back them.

It would be the start of a slow death for many counties, which cannot be good for anyone, bar the T20.

Already they have made the 4 day season shorter while putting games at times when they are more likely to lose time to rain, yet they claim Test cricket is the priority.

All the while claiming sides cannot exist without ECB money - money the counties are due from the sky TV deal (They allowed the ECB to negotiate for them) plus money for producing England players.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Yes a fine innings from Vince his first century since last April v Yorks at Headingley

What was Yorkshire's thinking putting Hants in on such a good batting wicket ?

It could be difficult to take 20 wickets let alone more over the four days

Berg wrecks the Yorks top order and Abbott gives Ballance a torrid time before knocking over Handscomb

Berg's not Kolpak. Neither is Vince. So 1 wicket and 22 runs from the Kolpak players playing

Yorks in serious trouble following on :

11 for 1

Would be ironic if our two class players Root & Bairstow are out cheaply again

Gary Ballance doing his best to save our neck once again with a splendid 125 no

Root & Bairstow can go toddle off & play for England, their heart is obviously not in Yorkshire any longer, bigger fish to fry i suppose !

I wouldnt be surprised if the England captaincy is giving Joe something to think about rather than his batting for Yorkshire.

faaip wrote:Only if you have problems with Kolpak which I don't. SA's new policy of only 5 white guys per game in the international side has pushed this big time. SA's white cricketers now need to find another way to earn their living. Kolpak is basically a way for non EU nationals in any form of employment to work in Europe. Brexit will bring that to a halt in all probability

Most of our first side is English - Adams, Carberry, Vince, Ervine (Now English), Dawson, McManus, Topley (when fit) Crane (our new spin hope) Brad Wheal and Chris Wood ...We have 3 Kolpak players and one overseas who didn't play over the weekend. Big miss that George Bailey.

Don't forget Jacques Rudolph was Kolpak.
Anyshire (Hampshire), Aka Kolpak County are a disgrace, but what do you expect from a club which has "Property developer" Roderick Granville Bransgore, he sounds like 3 stations on the Metropolitan line, as chairman ?
1 player from Surrey, via Kent
1 from , blimey, Hampshire
1 from Sussex
1 from Wiltshire
1 from Dorset
1 from Zimbabwe
1 from Barbados
4 Saffers !!
And the most inaccessible ground in the Country.
And they should have been relegated last season..
The next train is for Anyshire, stopping at Roderick, Granville and Bransgore....mind the gap !!

Which is why it is madness for England to keep picking the best player.......
