I do think Diagouraga would have done the job of two men sat in front of that back 4 and allowed us to have more attacking options (though not sure who) Maybe he's back next season but I'm not sure of his contract?

Remember the days during the midseason when I were stealing all the matches
and playing our best football. This was the team we had when we beat derby.

Green
Coyle
Bartley
Ayling
Berardi
Bridcutt
Vieira
Roofe Substituted for Dallas
Hernández Booked at 56mins Substituted for Mowatt at 87'minutes
Doukara
Wood

Should we be fielding a team that was doing the business for us back then.
The present formation does not seem to be working 4 points from 24.
Two holding midfielders are a luxury and the midfield needs to be more
adventurous going forward. A win is imperative if we have any hope of making
the playoffs but I don't think we will get much out of Norwich.

The team I would go with:
-----------------------------Green---------------------------

Ayling--------- Bartley-------Pontus--------Taylor

-------------------Viera----------O'Kane-------------------

Doukara--------------Hernandez---------------Roofe

-----------------------------Wood-----------------------------

Subs: Peacock-Farrell, Berardi, Phillips, Sacko, Barrow, Pedraza, Dallas

We need to go back to the system which has contributed to most of our success this season, although Bridcutt has been average this season I think he is a big miss tomorrow you need your captain in games like this and although his passing and work on the ball hasn't been great I still think the defensive side of his game has been excellent and crucial at times.

I thought about it and really wanted to put Berardi in, however, head has to rule heart here and we need Ayling and Taylor in a game like this to attack the game, the two full backs are a massive part of Garry's system, they offer so much in the final 3rd.

The midfield 2 has to be pure energy and power imo we need to try and overpower Norwich and to an extent outsmart the Norwich midfield 3 of: Howson, Dorrans and Pritchard press them high up the pitch and try to stop them from controlling the game in our final third. O'Kane and Viera cover a lot of ground, I feel it is particularly crucial O'Kane is back in the team he has been our best midfielder this season by a mile and probably the only midfielder out of all our defensive midfielders, attacking midfielders and wingers who can say he has had a good consistent season for us.

The attacking 3 should be: Doukara, Pablo and Roofe all 3 started together against: Norwich (A) and Derby (H) our 2 best performances of the season with all 3 players swapping and interchanging positions. Doukara on the right to allow Ayling to push forward and to cover Ayling if we lose the ball. I am not really a fan of Doukara as such but it has to be said we play better as a team with his ability to keep the ball very well. Pablo and Roofe, although they have been out of form are still capable of game changing moments of magic even when they play badly (Roofe cross vs Newcastle, Hernandez run against Newcastle and intelligent pass vs Birmingham). I also think the Taylor and Roofe combination on the left has looked good when they have both played in the same team.
Those 3 have been by far our most creative wingers and attacking midfielders this season.

10 out of that 11 started at Norwich a game we should have won 6-2/7-2 in our best performance by far this season.
8 out of that 11 started vs Derby our 2nd best performance of the season.

Midfielders Wes Hoolahan and Alex Tettey are absent, and keeper Michael McGovern is on compassionate leave.
That is good news Hoolahan is has been a great playmakers for Norwich. Hopefully these missing players bring
in a bit of instability of team Norwich team.

It's a toss up between Palombaggia in Corsica or North Bay Scarborough.

We're opening them up. Roofe started well and heavily involved. Created three half chances so far
