That will do for me, get rid of him thengessa wrote:I saw him come on as sub for Oldham at Walsall toward the end of last season, he looked woeful.
There is a massive difference between the championship & L1/L2 football as Roofe found out to his cost at Leeds. He was banging goals in left, right & centre at Oxford

Erwin never looked a player that could cut it at championship level. Roofe, on the other hand, will be better for a year's experience at this level. I wouldn't write him off just yet

Offer him more money than he is currently getting paid.faaip wrote:How do you sell to an incoming Goalie that has been starting he's going to be sat on the bench till Green gets injured.
Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2017
Roofe has definitely more to offer than Erwin without any doubt, still have reservations though, make or break season for Kemar at this levellufc1304 wrote:Erwin never looked a player that could cut it at championship level. Been a long time since we just threw money at something to make it happen, it's an option.

Erwin still worth keeping around for me, he was top scorer at Oldham and we have very few goal scorers........
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Werder Bremen goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald due in Leeds within next 24 hours for medical, according to Phil Hay. 500k deal agreed. So is he first choice, or backup to Green. TC apparently prefers a sweeper keeper, which the German is.

Must be coming as first choice, I can't see why you would leave a club where you are #1 to sit on the bench.

What I really want to see now is an experienced Championship defender come in.

What's a sweeper keeper?

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2017
Plays off his line a lot, almost like an auxiliary defender when needed. Lloris is probably the biggest examples
We've apparently made a 3m bid for bologna CB filip Helander ... janssons old club and country cb partner. I presume that's where the reccomendations come from too

A Manuel Neuer type, comfortable with the ball at his feet and able to pass out of defence as opposed to hoof. Guardiola binned Hart for not being one!

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2017
Leeds United have emerged as shock outsiders to re-sign West Ham playmaker Robert Snodgrass.
Bookmakers Betfair have priced the Yorkshire outfit at odds of 20/1 to bring the Scotland international back to Elland Road this summer.
West Ham are reportedly keen to offload the 29-year-old, despite him only joining in January in a £10million deal.
