Re: Garry Monk has Resigned
What a bloody disaster - we will now spend the next several weeks looking for a replacement so no transfer activity and we are in a worse position than when we finished last season. May have had his head turned by another offer, not sure on how that works in final stages of contract?
I can see us ending up with Aitor Karanka.....just my early feel.

It always felt a bit ominous that his contract wasn't sorted out ages ago . Stability remains illusive it seems

Disaster... Radrizzani only offered him 12 month extension to contract, monk felt snubbed. Result... our club set back years. Sad, frustrating and angry
Re: Garry Monk has Resigned
Monk has obviously got a new job lined up
The question is....who ?

I am totally gobsmacked. Every time you think this club is getting on an even keel again, a bolt out of bloody nowhere occurs like this !!
Club statement is pretty clear in saying he didnt want to discuss a long term deal.
My thinking is that maybe AR wouldnt release the kind of funds GM believed he needed to get us promoted.
Cant believe its back to bloody square one again :-(((

I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

He worked with the guy who they are looking as appointing as technical director at Boro so would make sense......did see something referring to him as a Plan B.......we shouldn't have needed oneGurj wrote:Karanka for Leeds is the rumour which actually started on Twitter yesterday, someone must have had a vibe that Monk wouldnt be staying !

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned
Phil Hay also mentioning the Karanka link; Victor Orta, who is rumoured to be our new technical director, worked with him at Boro

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned
One positive Nick is Karanka did get Boro' promoted so he has obviously got some pedigree unlike some of Monk's predecessorslufc1304 wrote:Phil Hay also mentioning the Karanka link; Victor Orta, who is rumoured to be our new technical director, worked with him at Boro
