Sounds like he had already made his mind up not to stay... or been tapped up.

Quote from Radz to Phil Hay over Twitter
"Shocking news from GM. We were keen to do 3 years deal. We never receive any request from him and his agent. No regrets, we did our best."

I thought Monk was Rads guy ....at least MC gets no credit for hiring GM from Leeds fans

This football club never ceases to amaze me. Wonder what the implications are now for Wood, Jansson etc?

Re: Garry Monk has Resigned
I don't see why Wood and Green would suddenly become crap. Yes it definitely looks like Beattie had a big impact on Wood but why would Wood suddenly forget all that he was taught? Green was an international keeper long before he came to Leeds and yes it is possible that Flahaven helped restore confidence and made suggestions that worked but again it is hardly like Green would suddenly then forget any of that stuff. It might even be that if new coaches came in that they would also spot one or two things that could further improve those 2 and others.1964white wrote:Kiss goodbye to Pep. I always believed James Beattie was the main reason for Wood's improvement, now he'll go all crap again if he remains at Leedswhiteswan wrote:This football club never ceases to amaze me. Wonder what the implications are now for Wood, Jansson etc?
