Here are some FACTS relating to the Grenfell tragedy.. 1. The block of flats was run not by the Council but by KCTMO. This body is made up of 8 TENANTS, 4 councilors and 3 independent members. 2. Labour hold the seat that the block is situated in. 3. Labour run the London Council who manage the under funded London Fire Service 4. Emma Coad the sitting Labour MP for that ward also sat on the KCTMO. 5. The advice to 'stay put' which Sadiq Khan has been so vocal about was given by the London Fire Service. 6. The decision to change contractors during the refurb was made by KCTMO. 7. The decision not to spend an additional £138k on fitting sprinklers was again KCTMO. 8. The decision to create ALMO organisation such as the KCTMO was made under the Right To Manage legislation passed in 2002 as part of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act. 9. This was put in place to give leaseholders and tenants a greater say and the ability to self manage.

I also think Corbyn is overstepping the mark telling people to occupy empty houses, wanting to requisition empty houses etc. Whatever political party you are drawn to this is just wrong. People have paid for these houses and are paying council tax on them, if they choose to leave them empty that is their choice. I don't see Corbyn and his ilk offering their second houses!! :bear:
Very interesting young lady

All the above are exonerated from any blame because it's Mrs May's fault apparently

The Media have said it as have the residents & Labour politicians too so we all know who the real culprit is

None of this witch hunt should never have occurred at such sad times when there are still bodies to be found & identified but the nation have spoken so this is sadly where we stand. Once again Sky & BBC News have a lot to answer for :hammer:

That should be the main priority

I believe people are gradually being re-homed

Police statement believe 79 people lost their lives in the fire which includes those missing. Only five have been identified of the bodies found. Looking likely many won't be found or identified, absolutely distressing for the immediate families.

I wonder how they're going to deal with those poor souls who are unidentified. I think you need a death certificate before things can be finalised. The absence of one could maybe even lead to fraud in certain circumstances if some heartless cons try to claim what isn't theirs, masquerading as the deceased. I don't know what procedures are in place to prevent such things but it may be one more thing, on top of the original tragedy, with which their immediate families have to cope . Let's hope not.

Me and Mr Swan were talking about this tonight Norm. Not about the fraud but about how on earth are these poor poor people who didn't get out....how are they going to be identified. It's been a while now since any new name has been forthcoming from Police or the Fire Service. The fire was so devasting and destructive. This is going to be so hard on their loved ones...it's just so heartbreaking. This whole thing is just so awful and its going to take a long time to be able to give people the answers they so long for...

Police investigating the Grenfell Tower fire say they have "reasonable grounds" to suspect that corporate manslaughter offences may have been committed.

It means senior executives from the council and the tenant management organisation that ran the block are likely to be interviewed under caution.

The thing is, how many more tower blocks have been similarly treated and have the authorities got the money to correct the safety issues?
