Since Monk's arrival at Boro' I'd imagine he would have been in discussions with Steve Gibson with regards to submitting a bid for our big No.9 especially as one of their main problems over the last couple of seasons is their inability to score goals

Then we have to show our intent. Give our big man a decent contract, tell everyone else to get stuffed (sorry for language...I am a laydee) but we have to keep our best players. I would love it if Monk came in for big Chris and he was told to Foxtrot Oscar! ( phonetic alphabet....but then I am a sailor)

Think this is a good signing but we still need more, 2 x Centre Backs, 2 x Wingers and a back up striker. Would also look at a more long term goalkeeping option to Green.
Looks like Mateusz can play in various different positions which is vital but looks like his best position is as a deep lying playmaker, hopefully might get a few goals as well. From what I have seen he is similar in playing style to Adam Clayton lets hope he is that good .
