Ok - 11 games in so thought I would update the predictions and our current leader, based on predicted season end, is LUFC1966 who predicted 4th with 83 points. Having said that we also have 3 players with a correct prediction of our current position of 5th with a tie on points meaning that Norm would shade it on GD. All in all pretty tight and we look to have got our predictions in the right ball park.

To get the end of season number I've just used our current results over the entire season and for position it is where that number of points would have seen us finish last season.

Good comp this - well done Norfolk.

I do hope Oscar is not correct but Que sera sera as Doris Day once sang.

Incidentally Doris turned 95 on April 3rd this year and looks incredible.

Well I'll bump this to the top - but looks like Oscar is going to take the honors, but looking at the predictions I think it's fair to say we have not achieved what any of us expected :( All I can say is that after watching that shambles Saturday I feel for you boys that have had to endure that on a regular basis.

I'll run this again next year when we might have a bigger spread given much less optimism!!!!

Well as posted a week or so back Oscar takes the honours in our inaugural Season Prediction Competition. Oscar predicted a 7th place finish and that was closest to our actual 13th place finish of all the entries

Close season and early season optimism soon faded away which meant that all the predictions turned out to be overly ambitious of our dismal final finish position.

Only Liggy really got anywhere near any of the actual stats predicting 58 "goals for" against our actual total of 59, unfortunately he was much too hopeful of how our defence would cope and thought we would only concede 38

Anyway - onwards and upwards is the only way for next season, lets hope the close season brings cause for optimism. Should be a much wider spread of predictions for next season and hopefully a few more entries.

Once again - well done Oscar!
