What do we think of making Phillips the captain going forward.....

Once again any consideration depends on whether they are going to be first team regular

Saw a lot of things I liked in yesterday's match. Hopefully Pennington and Berardi aren't out too long. Will be great to get Pontus back.

Hernandez, Pennington, Alioski.

Hernandez was back on song and when he is on song he makes us tick. Won the corner and played the corner with the exact right weight for the first goal and played the through ball for the third. All match he was busy wanting the ball.

Pennington did well on debut and looked composed.

Alioski - worked hard defensively and was always harrying the opposition as well as making sure he was getting into the box when we attacked, as demonstrated in the second goal. Showed great awareness to play the ball back to Wood rather than trying to head in from a tight angle.

This still open for votes? If so then I would say:

1. Ayling
2. Phillips
3. Cooper

mentions in dispatches for Pennington & Wood
