Sadly passed away
Great singer from the 60's onwards, many memorable songs, could play a mean guitar too.
Probably only admired by a few on here nevertheless a true legend in music circles
RIP Mr Wichita Lineman

Known by most for Rhinestone Cowboy, but he was a prodigious writer and performer across 5 decades and also a key member of the Wrecking Crew. Struck down by that cruel ba***rd Alzheimer's, at least he's now at peace. RIP

On the Ukulele Underground we had a whole season devoted to his songs.
he Ukulele might not be to everyones taste but here is the playlist of songs
81 of them altogether and some songs you might never have heard before.
That particular season made everybody aware that he was suffering from
Alzheimer's disease. He went on tour with his daughter... Played a song
talked to the crowd and then launched into the same song once again
having forgot that he had just played it.

All I Have To Do Is Dream (with Bobbie Gentry)
Strangely enough I don't own any CD's by Glen Campbell so whilst in Cardiff yesterday I popped into HMV, thought they would be promoting his music, not one CD in sight. Is it any wonder this retail store have gone downhill over the years.
Whilst managing one of their departments in Manchester during the 80's I ordered 100 x The Very Best Of Matt Monro before he actually died as sadly one of our greatest singers didn't have long to live.
Our store manager & a very good friend of mine still to this day went absolutely ape-sh*t when he opened a box from EMI & saw all these MM cassettes had arrived in our stockroom.
I received a b*ll**king from him & he immediately phoned EMI requesting a returns-note to to send the goods back to their company.
There was no need of course as we sold the 100 tapes by 2pm the next day
Just looked on Amazon & found exactly what i wanted at a bargain price
