Goals Arena

Post by rab_rant »

I like to know what the competition are up to and I usually look at
what the competition are like and for that I go to the site Goals Arena.

Who were scoring goals this weekend.
Abel Hernandez Hull hat trick
ANDREAS BOUCHALAKIS a couple for Forest
NATHANIAL MENDEZ-LAING a couple for Cardiff

Do you think that free scoring teams give a good indication of who will be in the playoffs?

Nope but then if you score 2 you don't often loose so yes I'd like us to be scoring 2 or more each week cause we'll win far more than we loose especially once our defence clicks

I think I will do a rundown of the top scorers for each weekend game
to see if there are any patterns emerging. Then we will know who the
danger men are, and that need tight marking.
To win you have to know your enemy.

To make this a full record of what is going on here are the top scorers (more than 2 goals) from the 5-6th August 2017

Bristol City Reid (16' minutes, 30' minutes)
QPR Washington (22' minutes, 59' minutes pen)
Leeds Phillips (7' minutes, 42' minutes)

In previous years the clubs to get promoted usually come from the teams that
have the biggest goal difference. Score plenty, don't let in any seems to be the
winning formula.

Obviously free scoring teams have a good chance of making the play-offs although there are exceptions, for example if you take a look at the 2015/16 championship table

Middlesbro' were the lowest scorers of the top six but were automatically promoted scoring only 63 goals in their 46 games

Brentford scored 72 goals finishing 8th

Fulham scored 66 goals, despite only 3 clubs scored more goals than the Cottagers they finished 20th in the table

Both goals today absolutely superb - great combination play between Alioski and Saiz, and then Dallas. I haven't seen much play, but I'm thinking Dallas maybe ought to have more chance in the first team, taking his scoring opportunities like he seems to do.
That;s what, 4 goals this season (I think) so far.
Oh yes, that clearance from Cooper too - class I thought.
