Watched this game, first goal Vydra scored, nice low strike from edge of the area. Second goal, Vydra ran with the ball at the defence then played in Nugent to score.

Both times the player Vydra walked past was Bridcutt. Some have wondered if we miss him, no, based on today he is about as effective as O'Kane and Phillips have been at protecting the back 4.
Bridcutt is another player who has lost his way, maybe he never recovered from the serious injury he suffered. He only look decent when he was on loan to us :(

Maybe we could actually play Weidwald as a sweeper...can he tackle without using his hands?

Apart from 1 game vs us Sheffield Wednesday continue to be poor, Monks men cant get going, fans unhappy, Cardiff take a win, Sheffield Utd continue to impress at the expense of boring Reading, and Wolves are lucky once more to win, keep winning when they perhaps shouldn't, sign of a good side.

Sheff Wed have been poor all season. Even though they battered us we could have scored a couple of times before they did and it would have been a different game. Perhaps even if we had taken one of our good chances at 0-2 it could have been different.

Can't see Boro fans being happy with them in mid table and playing boring football. But for Wood last season we'd have been mid table.

Wolves do seem to keep picking up wins and are riding their luck a bit. To get out of this league it is all about taking your luck when you get it and snatching wins from draws.

Then again, Boro fans are starting to wish he wasnt theres.

"Leeds fans said Monk had no plan B, i am struggling to find a plan A".

That comment on there forum made me chuckle.

QPR fail in ffp appeal but will appeal again, fines will be north of £40m and could reach £58m.

Huge money and they could be in real trouble.

Not really getting there point, they overspent, they lived beyond there means, so they pay the price.

Feel very sorry for there fans, but they only have mismanagement at the top to blame.

We remain in the playoffs.
7points of Sheffield United
6points of Wolves
5 points of Cardiff

To say we are extremely fortunate is an understatement.

I was dreading the Sat/Sun games gessa after we lost on Friday and expected us to drop down the table like a rocket. But results really went for us....now it's up to us to get back to winning ways therefore not having to depend on other results to keep us in the top six

Weird we've lost 5 in the last 7 but still only 7 points off top..a win friday and it would have been 3 off top placed Wolves. Really need a win Tuesday.

Well we got away with it this weekend however we definitely can't afford to mess up v Derby if we are looking to retain our top six position. If any team goes on a good run they could pull away significantly from the pack in the league !
