Re: Gianni Alioski
Much better.
Wasteful at times in possession (perhaps tiredness as it was more later on in the game).
But showed why you should start, a threat all game and good anticipation for your goal plus cross that ended up as the 1st.

Re: Gianni Alioski
Alioski for me would be a definite starter. For all he will sometimes be greedy or take the wrong option he has goals and pace in him which is exactly what you want from a winger. When you also add in his tremendous attitude towards helping out defensively then for me he has to start. He is still young and with more experience and better understanding with teammates I would expect him to improve and hopefully be a real superstar for us.
Re: Gianni Alioski
We have a squad of talented players. Alioski is no different, I think our good start foiled them
Into thinking it was an easy league, they are learning all the time and will only get better. Fair play to the lad for taking the stick and the 2/10 scores in games and plugging away.
Must be hard in a forgein country to settle and poor form can get the better of players, more of today please!

I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat..

Showed he has talent but played in snatches imo !Cjay wrote:Much better.

Chose the wrong options by holding onto the ball too long when he could have laid off a simple ball to the likes of Saiz, Hernandez or Roofe on several occasions
Re: Gianni Alioski
He isnt perfect, but few players are in there first season in a new country.1964white wrote:Showed he has talent but played in snatches imo !

Away from family and friends.
He made the joint most tackles with Phillips and for a winger thats incredible. Made mistakes but without him we dont win. Very encouraging performance.

Re: Gianni Alioski
Disappointing result.
But, that goal was class, lovely play from Saiz.
The movement and finish from Ali was top draw.
3 in 3 now.

And from our point of view, nice to have another attack player hitting some form. Encouraged to see the link up with Saiz.

Re: Gianni Alioski
Seems to be settling in nicely and getting used to the rigours of the Championship, on current form a definite starter.
Re: Gianni Alioski
Doesnt score tap ins . . . . . .
Best bit was Ayling knocked it to the left with his right foot , could see him looking at the ball and possibly about to hit it with his left and then . . . .it was gone
He is getting better and better every week.

Alioski has become an important player for us.
Definitely sealed his place in our first XI now

Didnt shine like he has, defensively he was brilliant but Taylor handled him well.

I thought he did a lot of unnecessary tracking back over lost causes. I love his enthusiasm but because of that he ran out of steam in the second half....Love him to bits though

Think his 1st instinct is to cover for Ayling.whiteswan wrote:I thought he did a lot of unnecessary tracking back over lost causes. I love his enthusiasm but because of that he ran out of steam in the second half....Love him to bits though

Spends too much time & effort covering Ayling's backside as does Pontuswhiteswan wrote:I thought he did a lot of unnecessary tracking back over lost causes. I love his enthusiasm but because of that he ran out of steam in the second half....Love him to bits though

Feel sorry for Alioski at times.1964white wrote:Spends too much time & effort covering Ayling's backside as does Pontus
Damned if he does track back damned if he doesnt.
If he doesnt and we concede then he will get blamed, if he does but then is to knackered to get forward then he gets critical fingers pointed as well.
Hand on heart believe with a more defensive fb behind him (Berardi) Ali would thrive.
He has talent, but if anything his work rate sometimes goes against him, his willingness to cover for Ayling is admirable but he cant do everything down that side.

Who do we play at LB.....Borthwick-Jackson or Dallas when fit or Anita?

He has done ok at times, and certainly not looked as hopeless as Ayling on multiple occasions.
Being left footed he has pace and will provide width which we lack down the left.
