Bubble jackets are the worst looking item of clothing on the planet, no idea why any one would make themselves look like the Michelin man and they make a really annoying noise.

Re: All time top number of posts on MOT
League of Ireland these days, Nick. I live halfway between Bohemians and St Pats, but go watch the former given the close connection with Cliftonville.lufc1304 wrote:Always good to see you back on here, Gino (despite your Irish League allegiances ), but you seem to be hankering for a time when this place had become almost toxic. I, too, miss the input from departed members, but I don't miss the debates that descended into personal attacks on each other. I don't know how much attention you pay these days, but there's still a healthy level of debate on here, but it is conducted with respect for others opinions.
If something or someone on here provoked your departure that I'm unaware of, then I apologise, but it would be good to see you back here on a more regular basis. You might find it's a pretty decent place to hang out, again
I accept there was a toxicity at times, but those responsible - Silky, WR etc - either left or were banned. They crossed the line between healthy debate and personal abuse, but others stayed just the right side of it and still felt the need to leave.
If you missed why I left, then, you missed it. Unfortunately, I have no time for the self-reflecting martyrdom that has found its way even into this thread.
I've found more suitable spaces on social media that provide what I need/want from that kind of interaction so this will not be a regular haunt.
But I'll be watching...

I found him rude when other people posted their musical tastes. Rather than say nothing or just why it didn't work for him, he invariably made an uncalled-for remark or ridiculed the OP.faaip wrote:Forgot about Silky but doubt he was here for the long term, never found Riot rude, challenging and certainly opinionated but that's why we debate on forums imo
Stay safe today
Thanks for your concern, but it will take more than something called Ophelia to get rid of me

I seldom wear trainers but they have a place.

Re: All time top number of posts on MOT
A good pair of Training Shoes not only has its place but is essential for the massive support you get from the heel and instep for higher-speed walking and occasional jogging. As you may well have guessed, that's what I enjoy doing for my primary keep-fit exercise, along with gym. My 26-year old son loves the competition and, naturally, mostly beats me, but I have my moments too. We sometimes giggle our way back into the house.
Point is, don't knock it 'til you've tried it, and if you don't like how they look, get over it. They are superb for keeping me free of injury.
I used to have a couple of areas where I would pick up niggles and knocks but I now have almost no problems with my Nike Air Monarchs. I always use my new ones for training and an older pair for comfort casual. For occasions which need a higher standard of presentation, we have good shoes, but we're not snobs about it.
