Hadi Sacko £1.5m-On his day a great option, off it, a waste of space, but showed what he could do vs Burnley
Pontus Jansson £3.5m-The best cb we have had since the Premiership, form dipped by his own admission, but his class is there.
Mateusz Klich £1.5m-Put in the complete midfield performance v Burnley, greatly underused imo, because he slipped.
Felix Wiedwald £500k-A good gk is there im sure, just maybe not for this league.
Ezgjan Alioski Undisclosed (rumoured about £2.5m)-Inconsistent like most flair players,at his best a top player in this league.
Samuel Sáiz £3m-Great signing, media in Spain said he was good enough for La Liga, they wernt wrong.
Caleb Ekuban £500k-Looked useful whenever he got a chance, unlucky to get injured, but looks a handful.
Andy Lonergan Free-A solid gk, nothing more nothing less, made good saves vs Reading but his distribution was very poor.
Paweł Cibicki £1.5m-Looked lively on his debut, highly rated, deserves a chance.
Vurnon Anita Free-A wonderful little player, rated very highly by the Toon army, key player.
Jay Roy Grot £1.5m (500k upfront)-, Hard to do much in small cameos, just needs coaching, but he puts himself about and has shown some nice footwork at times.

Ones in bold are the ones i think we were fortunate to get, bigger club interest, to good for this league , played well at a higher level etc.

But you could add Grot and Cibicki to, highly rated, just remains to be seen if they live up to there potential. :-D

We should have got a cb :roflmao:

Monk was too safe & rigid

TC needs to be more flexible as he has got the players at his disposal

Didn't realise Klich was a six-footer so he could be the answer although Sacko is 6ft but I can't ever recall him heading a ball

O'Kane rarely wins a ball in the air. Deserves to keep his place as he was one of the better players v Reading

Kalvin has the height but surely his time is running out for a first XI place

Shaugnhessy is a midfielder & defensively we know he will win balls in the air

Kante best centre mid in the prem at the moment and he's about 5 ft 5. Played with 5 ft 10 drinkwater when they won the league. Not convinced height is the issue. Agree perhaps Klich should be given a chance in the league though. Vieira too. Would like to see okane remain in the line up though as he's faded a bit recently but still been one of our best performers
