Thats what I don't understand 64....one of the officials must have seen something to give a red card surely. It can't just have been given on hearsay? We will have to wait and see

If Saiz did commit the despicable spitting offence he deserves to be banned for six matches.

Christiansen would also need to throw the book at him as it's conceivable he has cost us a play-off place

Be interesting to see if there is video evidence of it, appeared like the ref hadn't actually seen it during the match and that Saiz suggested he was elbowed. Not saying that defends him if he was but just that there are big implications for us as a result of an incident where it seems far from clear what happened and the ref didn't actually see.

Well, footage existing or not...Saiz clearly accepts the accusation, so it must be true. If he was ellbowed before the spitting that wouldn`t change anything in regard to the 6 game ban.
Soo unbelievable idiotic and unbelievable in regard to the possible and probable implications. And we all knew what such
a game would possible be like...resent Cup defeats should have been learning lessons enough.

Not happy with that.

Carefully worded statement from the PR team.
Damage limitation from the club, accepting the ban, wording a statement, token "internal investigation"

Apology needs to be from his mouth imo, on camera, even just on the website.

He has some serious making up to do, like Cantona and his ban, Saiz needs to come back and drag us kicking and screaming into the playoffs, MINIMUM.

If this was Hadi Sacko there would be screaming for him to be sold, Saiz is lucky he is a key player, but he better hope his teammates do him a favour and save his butt these next 6 games

I maybe wrong but next season could be our year as the loss of Saiz for six games is a major blow.

Point is we'll lose Pontus & spitter if we don't go up this season so once again we'll be starting all over again, it's like a never-ending nightmare !

After witnessing our recent performances & even the games we were winning in December I'm unconvinced Cjay :(

Changed the game.

Totally toothless till he came on.

Positive, worked hard, ran at people.

Great strength and skill for the assist, vision to spot the pass.

One criticism of Samu has been his greed, yesterday he did everything correct.

He owes us one more season, if any PL clubs should come knocking.
After all, he more or less single-handedly destroyed our chances of a play-off place.

Thats what he needed to do.

Said after his ban he needed to make a Cantona like impact.

Not quite at that level yet, but he makes a difference.

Very unlucky to not have at least 1 assist.

Just wish he'd not over complicate, when theres a chance to shoot then do so . .when your on the left with a chance to cross . USE YOUR LEFT FOOT!!!!!.

I personally thought he was fantastic on the ball yesterday. Even when he lost the ball he chased back, made the tackle, got the ball back & beat a man before being fouled, not seen that from Samu previously

Most fans at the game in agreement he was by far our best & most influential player

Majority of forums have got him down as their MOTM

He did track back well which was nice to see, does seem desperate to make amends.

2 write ups gave it to Alioski.

The forum we are both on have Cooper as MOTM with Saiz 1 behind and Alioski 4 behind.

Saiz was in front last time I looked in, noticed Alioski attracting plenty of votes, much better from him in both games yesterday & at Derby
